Sony Thermo Technology, Inc. has launched the “REON POCKET PRO” wearable thermo-device, designed to be worn around the neck for direct cooling or heating.
For the first time in the REON POCKET series, the new model features dual thermo-modules and a heat-dissipating fan that delivers about twice the airflow of its predecessor. The “REON POCKET PRO” offers twice the cooling area, heat-absorbing performance, and an extended operating time.
The “REON POCKET PRO” is now available in 22 countries/regions across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
REON POCKET PRO features two independent DUAL thermo-modules, which nearly double the cooling and warming area compared to traditional models. This new mechanism allows each module to operate alternately and with varying intensity for efficient cooling. Additionally, an upgraded heat-dissipating fan provides twice the airflow, enhancing heat absorption and boosting cooling performance to nearly double that of the previous model. The improved battery also offers approximately 34 hours at COOL Level 1, effectively doubling the operating time of its predecessor.
The accuracy of AUTO START/STOP has improved, automatically managing cooling and warming based on the unit’s condition and user actions. Additionally, the SMART COOL mode features advanced sensors and algorithms that analyze user behavior, temperature, and humidity to provide efficient cooling for up to 15 hours.
The new heat-dissipating structure is compact and blends well in business settings with its light gray color. Operating noise is reduced by about 50% compared to conventional models for quieter performance. Side control buttons allow basic operations, including switching between COOL and WARM modes, even without a smartphone.
The design of the main unit has been enhanced, with the cooling/warming area now about twice as large and tilted for better body fit. The neckband’s flexibility has improved, thanks to a larger mechanical flexible tube and a new silicone extension at the tip for added comfort.
Optional Accessories
A new custom-designed case specifically made for the “REON POCKET PRO” is now available. This versatile case can also accommodate previous models, thanks to an adjustable Velcro strap that securely holds the main unit in place. Despite its lightweight design, the case provides excellent cushioning to protect the main unit and accessories from external impact. It is large enough to store the “REON POCKET PRO” with the air-vent cover attached, and features additional pockets to neatly store accessory items such as the REON POCKET TAG, USB cable, and air-vent cover.
The “REON POCKET PRO” will be available in Malaysia from July 2025 with a suggested retail price of RM1,199.
