Sony, as part of its “Cinema is Coming Home” theme, has released new BRAVIA Theatre home audio products and the BRAVIA 3 II TV, providing more options to enjoy a great movie experience at home.
The new BRAVIA Theatre series includes the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7 and BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5. There are also optional speakers like the BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8, and BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9. These products are built to create a wider sound experience for a more immersive movie feel.
The BRAVIA 3 II TV is a mid-range option available in sizes up to 100 inches for a large-screen experience at home.
Soundbars that Fill the Room
The new BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7 features a compact yet powerful design with nine speaker units, including dedicated up-firing and side speakers that create a wider sound field. With Sony’s proprietary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology (360SSM), it delivers immersive surround sound from a single soundbar and room-calibrated audio for an optimized experience. Users can enhance their setup with optional subwoofers and rear speakers for deeper bass, making it an ideal choice for those new to home audio who value sound quality.
The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5 is a 3.1ch system with a wireless subwoofer that provides strong bass, clear dialogue, and great value. Its S-Force PRO Front Surround, Vertical Surround Engine, and upmixer technology deliver an immersive surround sound experience for movies and TV.

- BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9/ BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8 shared features: Features large driver units, delivering powerful, super deep bass that lets you truly feel and experience the hidden depths of sound in your movies. For the first time in the BRAVIA Theatre series, dual subwoofer play is supported.
- BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9: Carries two 200mm driver units. The vibration-cancelling dual opposing drivers reduce distortion, powerful premium bass that extends into ultra-low frequencies.
- BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8: Features 200mm large driver unit and provides bass extension deep into low frequencies.
- BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9: Equipped with 80mm large up-firing speaker that elevates rear-channel performance and enhances the immersive 360 Spatial Sound experience by creating multiple phantom speakers.
Alongside the new audio lineup, Sony is expanding its BRAVIA TV range with the BRAVIA 3 II, a mid-tier TV available in sizes up to 100 inches. Equipped with the XR Processor and XR Triluminos Pro, it offers natural colour reproduction, rich contrast, and detail that enhances movie watching. Collaborating with MediaTek Inc., it combines advanced signal processing with hardware for improved image clarity and supports Dolby Vision/Atmos and DTS:X for great sound quality. It also features 4K 120Hz and four HDMI 2.1 ports for gaming.
To enhance accessibility, the BRAVIA 3 II includes a newly designed Inclusive Remote Control, featuring optimised button designs and the Remote Finder function for easy location, benefiting users with visual disabilities.
Availability
The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8 and BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9 will be available in Malaysia from June 2026. In addition, the BRAVIA 3 II will be available in Malaysia from July 2026.
