The SKILLDRVN OMR 2026 Season 4 championship has recently concluded its Round 3 at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit. This was another important part of the five-round championship. Drivers returned to the circuit eager to improve on their past results and earn important points.
For Round 3, 13 Suzuki Swift race cars lined up, including four from the Pro Series and nine from the OMR Series. True to the championship’s focus on one-make racing, both categories emphasized driver skill, race strategy, and consistency, leading to another exciting weekend of racing at Sepang.

RACE 1
Race 1 started Round 3 with an exciting battle at the front. Team Ultra Racing #331 YY had the best starting position from qualifying, but it was ELF Evolution Team #168 Vox Lim Keng June who took the lead right away, followed by Profimax Racing Team #27 Andy Boey Kai Jin, Bendix Ultimate Racing Team #888 XiaoLong, and Team Ultra Racing #331 YY.
However, #168 Vox quickly faced trouble as he went into the gravel on the first lap. He got back on track but lost nearly seven minutes and fell two laps behind, changing the race’s dynamic.
With #168 Vox out of the picture, #27 Andy Boey took the lead while #331 YY tried to pass #888 XiaoLong. The three of them, #27 Andy Boey, #331 YY, and #888 XiaoLong, battled closely until the end. #27 Andy Boey kept calm and won the Pro Series by 3.582 seconds, with #331 YY in second and #888 XiaoLong in third.
In the OMR Series, #512 Imran Iskandar stood out as he showed great skill after progressing through the SKILLDRVN Driver Development Programme (DDP). He was fast, calm, and built a lead lap by lap, finishing with the fastest lap in his class, 2:52.202 on Lap 3.
Imran won the OMR race with a solid 16-second lead over #791 Seow Chee Fong, who finished second. Chee Fong had a close finish against #844 Wan Naadzreen bin Idham Ya’Kub, winning by just 0.337 seconds.
Another impressive performance came from #52 Lee G Young, who started last but moved up through the field, finishing fifth in the OMR Series and showing determination throughout the race.
RACE 2
Race 2 started from a standstill, with #27 Andy Boey in pole position and #331 YY next to him on the front row.
The race was decided quickly. Starting from fourth place, #168 Vox Lim made an impressive start and passed three cars, taking the lead by the end of the first lap with a time of 2:54.955, which was faster than anyone else at that point. He maintained his lead and won by 3.739 seconds, making up for his problems in Race 1.
Meanwhile, pole sitter #27 Andy Boey had a disappointing start, dropping to fourth place right away. #888 XiaoLong also fell back from third to fifth, but in the OMR Series, #512 Imran had a great launch from fifth to finish the first lap in third.
Only #331 YY managed to keep her position among the top three during the chaotic first lap, settling into second place. However, on Lap 4, #27 Andy Boey chased her down, setting the fastest lap of the race at 2:48.336 and moving into second. This was the only position #331 YY lost; she finished third comfortably without any further challenges.
The closest competition of the day was for fourth place. #512 Imran led #888 XiaoLong since the start and had a 3.2-second lead by Lap 7. However, #888 XiaoLong made an impressive late charge, getting closer each lap. They finished just 0.020 seconds apart, with Imran holding on under pressure to win his second OMR Series race of the weekend.
The fight for sixth place was just as intense and lasted the entire race. #52 G Young and #844 Naaz were always within seven-tenths of each other, switching positions three times in the last laps. Naaz finally crossed the finish line first, winning by only 0.055 seconds after ten laps of fierce racing.
PENALTIES
The stewards changed the midfield order after the flag. #844 Naaz and #369 Oscar Fam both received a 15-second penalty for starting rules violations, while #791 Chee Fong got the same penalty for jumping the start.
This decision meant Naaz lost his hard-fought second place, giving it to #52 G Young by 14.240 seconds and dropping Naaz to third in class. The updated results also changed the OMR Series podium, moving G Young to second in class and leaving Naaz in third. Chee Fong kept his fourth place despite the penalty.
