Qualifying
The action began during Qualifying for Round 2, with drivers fiercely competing for the best starting spots in Race 1.
Due to the championship’s success ballast system, the top three finishers from Round 1 in both the Pro Series and OMR Series had to carry extra weight into Round 2. Winners TEAM ULTRA RACING #331 Loke Yin Yi and #512 Imran Iskandar carried 15kg, while second-place finishers Elf Evolution Team #168 Vox Lim and #704 Rafin Ghaith Danial had 10kg. Third-place finisher Profimax Racing Team #27 Andy Boey had an extra 5kg. This system helps keep the competition close by rewarding strong performances and encouraging exciting racing.
In the SKILLDRVN Pro Series, #331 YY got off to a great start, leading from the first lap while fending off pressure from #168 Vox and #27 Andy. The fight for position heated up as #27 Andy briefly moved into second place but then fell behind #168 Vox and later had a technical issue that sent him to the back. #331 YY stayed focused to finish in P1, followed by #27 Andy in P2 and #888 Xiaolong in P3.
In the OMR Series, #512 Imran had a strong performance, leading every lap and securing pole position ahead of #791 Chee Fong in P2 and #704 Rafin in P3, giving him great momentum for Race Day.
Race 1
Race 1 started with a rolling beginning as the SKILLDRVN OMR group sped into Turn 1 for another exciting race during Round 2 at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit. Both Pro Series and OMR Series drivers made good starts, with the fight for early positions creating a thrilling eight-lap race.
In the Pro Series, #331 YY took the lead from the pole position, fending off pressure from #168 Vox, #27 Andy, and #888 XiaoLong. Meanwhile, #512 Imran Iskandar kept the lead in the OMR Series, ahead of #791 Chee Fong and #704 Rafin as they settled into the race.
The race for the Pro Series podium heated up midway through. While #331 YY maintained a strong lead, #27 Andy faced increasing pressure from #168 Vox. On Lap 5, #168 Vox moved into second place, pushing #27 Andy to defend third place.
A major twist happened a lap later when #27 Andy experienced a technical problem that made him lose his position and his chance for a podium finish. This allowed #888 XiaoLong to take third place, while #331 YY remained first and #168 Vox stayed in second.
In the OMR Series, Imran Iskandar had a strong performance, leading the race from start to finish. #791 Chee Fong was his closest rival throughout the race, while #704 Rafin secured third place.
At the finish line, #331 YY won decisively in the Pro Series, followed by #168 Vox and #888 XiaoLong. In the OMR Series, #512 Imran Iskandar also won from start to finish, with #791 Chee Fong in second and #704 Rafin in third.
Race 2
Race 2 brought an exciting challenge in Round 2 as drivers faced the first wet standing start of the season. While the rain had stopped before the cars lined up, the wet track made it hard to find grip and the conditions changed quickly.
When the race started, #331 YY, #888 XiaoLong, and #512 Imran Iskandar got off to strong starts, quickly distancing themselves from the rest. #331 YY led the way, while Imran showed great consistency in tough conditions, staying within eight seconds of the leader.
Behind them, there was a close fight for the podium. #168 Vox held second place at first, but the battle heated up later. On Lap 5, #888 XiaoLong overtook #168 Vox for second place. However, #168 Vox fought back and reclaimed second on Lap 8, aiming to catch #331 YY. Sadly, #168 Vox had to retire on Lap 9 due to technical problems. #62 Joshua Lee also went off the track earlier but continued racing. #42 Elwen had to stop on Lap 7 because of a mechanical issue.
In the OMR Series, #512 Imran once again showed a steady performance, achieving the fastest time of 3:02.083. After a great start, he led the race despite ongoing pressure from #704 Rafin, who kept pace from Lap 5 onward. However, #512 Imran kept a 13-second lead to win decisively.

Overall, Race 2 highlighted the drivers’ skills, consistency, and determination, making for an exciting event in the SKILLDRVN OMR Championship.
