Samsung has recently introduced the new T7 and T9 microSD Cards, adding to their range of removable storage options designed for different users. Built on Samsung’s storage expertise, these new cards have clearer names and improved designs, enhancing Samsung’s presence in removable storage.
The T7 microSD Card is great for everyday users, light gamers, and content creators who need extra space for their data. With large capacities up to 1TB and read speeds reaching 170MB/s, the T7 is compatible with smartphones, laptops, tablets, and handheld gaming consoles, making it an easy and reliable choice for daily storage needs.
The T9 microSD Card is meant for those who need high performance, like serious gamers and professional creators working with large files. It offers read speeds up to 200MB/s and has 6-proof protection for durability and broad compatibility. The T9 is designed to help users quickly transfer large files and work confidently on devices that require high performance, such as drones, action cameras, smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
With the launch of T7 and T9 microSD cards and the P9 Express, Samsung is streamlining its removable storage portfolio, evolving from the previous microSD range, which previously under the EVO Plus, PRO Plus, and PRO Ultimate. The ‘T’ lineup stands for ‘Trustworthiness,’ while ‘P’ represents ‘Peace of Mind,’ emphasizing Samsung’s ample storage and powerful performance. This rebranding aims to enhance consumer clarity for more intuitive product selections based on user requirements.
The Samsung T7 microSD Card is offered in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options, while the T9 microSD is offered in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Manufacturer’s suggested retail prices for T7 microSD Card (MSRP) are set at RM209 for the 128GB, RM335 for the 256GB, RM663 for 512GB and RM1,325 for the 1TB model. T9 microSD Card starts at RM263 for the 128GB, RM413 for the 256GB and RM833 for the 512GB model, available to consumers from April 14, 2026. Availability may vary by market.
In conjunction with the 5.5 promotion, consumers who purchase a T9 microSD Card will be entitled to a complimentary exclusive Juno Blindbox, a special edition figurine that represents a memory-keeping persona, while stocks last.
