Samsung and Corning Incorporated announced that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will use Corning Gorilla Armor 2, the first scratch-resistant, anti-reflective glass ceramic cover for mobile devices. This innovation is featured on the front displays of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, representing a significant advance in mobile display technology.

Samsung’s decision to use Gorilla Armor 2 in its Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones highlights the strong partnership between Samsung and Corning and their shared dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Compared to the first generation, Gorilla Armor 2 is much tougher. Devices with Gorilla Armor 2 can handle the bumps and knocks of everyday life better. It’s especially designed to resist damage when dropped on rough surfaces, reducing the chances of breakage significantly.
Gorilla Armor 2 also has anti-reflective features that lower reflections, whether you’re indoors or outside. This makes the display clearer and improves the viewing experience in different lighting.
In tests at Corning, Gorilla Armor 2 was able to survive drops from up to 2.2 meters onto a surface that mimics concrete. Other glass materials broke when dropped from just one meter. Plus, Gorilla Armor 2 is incredibly scratch-resistant, showing over four times better scratch resistance than other similar cover glasses that have an anti-reflective coating.
