Samsung Galaxy A52: Unboxed and impressed with its awesomeness

So, Samsung has refreshed their Awesome smartphone lineup, wait, I meant the Galaxy A series lineup for 2021. The 2021 Galaxy A lineup consist of Galaxy A32, A52 and A72 and Samsung Malaysia has already announced the price. I was looking forward to the 2021 Galaxy A lineup partially of the ‘Awesome’ marketing ads. Awesome phone, awesome camera, awesome display, awesome battery and waterproof.

Luckily, I have managed to received a brand new review unit of the Samsung Galaxy A52 and here’s what I have found out on the device.

Out of the box, the Galaxy A52 maintains the Awesomeness by providing a 15W fast charging adapter and USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable for their users. I think it is a good choice for Samsung to provide a charger as most users will prefer to have a charger provided. The phone also has a screen protector pre-installed which adds protection against scratches.

After unwrapping the plastics on the Galaxy A52, the colour I have on the device is called Awesome Violet and it looks gorgeous thanks to the matte finish. The back cover is plastic but the finishing feel solid and awesome. The new rear camera bump now spots albeit similar design to the recent Galaxy S21 series and I would say it will appeal to many young audiences. The volume and power buttons on the side feels precise and you don’t any plastic-ky feeling although it is made from plastic. On the bottom, you can find the awesome 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and one of the stereo bottom firing speaker.

Once I have fired the device for the first time, the awesomeness continues thanks to 6.5 inches Super AMOLED display. The display looked bright enough for indoor usage thanks to 800 nits brightness but a little bit more brightness would be better for outdoor usage. Adding more flagship experience to the display is the new 90hz fast refresh rate which is a step up from standard 60hz panel. You can just feel the scrolling experience is awesomely fluid on the device. The Super AMOLED display is great for binge watching videos as I can watch Roman Reigns in awesome vivid colours. Oh yeah, the Galaxy A52 has awesome stereo speakers which I can say it is good enough for videos, music and gaming.

As most media was wondering, did Samsung actually put in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G or Snapdragon 732G chip to the Galaxy A52? I was curious to find out hence I used the CPU-Z app and found out Samsung has opted the latest Snapdragon 732G chip which bring more awesome performance for work, content creation and gaming. Kudos for Samsung making an ‘awesome’ choice for the mid range device.

Overall, the Galaxy A52 does impressed me within less than a day. The gorgeous design, solid build, great display, good stereo speakers and awesome processor on the Galaxy A52 is enough for most smartphone users. For now, this is just an unboxing and first impression so stay tuned as the full review will be coming soon.

You can the Samsung Galaxy A52 in Malaysia for RM1,499 and receive a complimentary Clear Standing Cover or Soft Clear Cover from 26th March to 30th April 2021.
