Samsung has unveiled its 2026 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup which includes five new models that push the boundaries of resolution, refresh rates and immersive visual performance. Spearheaded by Samsung’s first 6K 3D Odyssey G9, the 2026 lineup debuts world-first display technologies for gamers and creators, including the next-generation Odyssey G6 and three new Odyssey G8 models.
“With this year’s Odyssey lineup, we’re introducing display experiences that simply weren’t possible even a year ago,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “From the industry’s first 6K glasses-free 3D monitor to breakthrough 1,040Hz speed, we designed these monitors to meet the ambitions of today’s gamers and deliver a level of immersion that fundamentally changes how content looks and functions on screen.”
Odyssey 3D: The World’s First 6K Glasses-Free 3D Gaming Monitor
The 32-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XH model) introduces the first 6K display with glasses-free 3D, changing how games are experienced on a monitor. It uses real-time eye tracking to adjust depth and perspective based on the viewer’s position, providing a sense of dimension for smooth gameplay without a headset. With 6K resolution, a refresh rate of 165Hz (boosted to 330Hz in Dual Mode), and a 1ms response time, fast action looks sharp. PC gamers get to enjoy an expanded lineup of games with optimized 3D effects created with game studios. Featured titles like The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture, and Stellar Blade add depth to terrain, distance, and object separation beyond typical 2D gameplay.
Odyssey G6: The World’s First 1,040Hz Refresh Rate for High-Speed Gaming
The 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H model) gaming monitor enhances competitive gaming with the world’s first 1,040Hz refresh rate and native QHD support up to 600Hz, providing clear motion to help players track targets during fast action. It can instantly boost performance for sharp resolution, allowing viewers to enjoy stunning visuals and fast-paced gameplay. With AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible support, the Odyssey G6 ensures smooth frames, vibrant colors, and quick responsiveness.
Odyssey G8: A High-Resolution Choice Across 6K, 5K and OLED
The Odyssey G8 series is growing in 2026 with three new models, each designed for different preferences in resolution and speed. The top model, the 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS), is the first 6K gaming monitor and works at 165Hz, with the ability to go up to 330Hz in 3K mode. The 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF) offers a clearer 5K option with support for 180Hz, and can reach 360Hz in QHD for smoother visuals.
For those who prefer better contrast, the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH) features a 4K QD-OLED screen with a 240Hz refresh rate, Glare Free viewing, 300-nit brightness, and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified. Its DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) allows for up to 80Gbps bandwidth for smooth HDR and VRR playback.
All three models support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync for stable, tear-free gaming. Each G8 model gives gamers and creators the flexibility to choose between workspace for creation, sharper details for immersive experiences, or vibrant contrast for cinematic visuals.
According to IDC, Samsung is the leader in the global gaming monitor market for displays with refresh rates above 144Hz, holding 18.8% of the revenue share. With the new Odyssey lineup, they aim to keep their top spot for the seventh year in a row.
The full Odyssey 2026 lineup will be displayed at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9, where visitors can try out the new monitors.
