Rhythm Check: Suki Low releases new single ‘Terlerai’, an “OST” for “Salju Rindu Di Bumi Auckland”

Suki Low has return to gain the attention in Malaysia music industry with the new single release titled Terlerai. The song is the “OST” for “Salju Rindu Di Bumi Auckland”, a 28 episode drama set to air exclusively on Tonton from 16 September 2024.

Suki Low started her career after crowning as the champion for the popular reality program “One in a Million” in 2006. Since them, Suki has been recognised as a talented singer with an attractive vocal, along with involving multiple projects in singing and acting.

‘Terlerai’ is Suki’s second single release with Alternate Records, which doesn’t only shows Suki’s intention to return to music, but also experience her vocal’s maturity. “This song brings a different side from what I have sang. It reminds me to a ‘music box’ song that brings a nostalgic feels to fans and listeners, thanks to the combination of the classic elements and melody,” explained by Suki.

The recording process for the song took around six hours, where Suki shows her utmost dedication and commitment throughout the the session. Suki admits that ‘Terlerai’ is a challenging song in the vocal parts. “‘Terlerai‘ requires a long and stable breath because the words near the chorus part has to deliver non-stop and multiple parts of the song requires to ‘whisper'”, said Suki. However, with practicesm Suki is able to deliver the song with full of emotion and uniqueness. Suki is hoping the song can touched the listeners’ heart especially for those who are going through the ‘healing’ phase in their life.

Terlerai’ is produced by famous composer and lyric writer, Mas Dewangga. Suki mentioned it was a valuable moment to work with Mas Dewangga. Mas Dewangga also explains the song was inspired by the story route from “Salju Rindu di Bumi Auckland”.

Salju Rindu Di Bumi Auckland is directed by Shuhaimi Zulkefli, while the cast includes Riena Diana, Keith Foo, Nabil Aqil, Emelda Rosemila and many more. The 28 episode drama can be watched through the Tonton from 16 September 2024, while you can watch from the website www.tonton.com.my.
