DOLLA has recently introduced their latest single called BAD on 11 February 2022 (available on all major streaming service) and dropped the MV at the same date at 9pm. The single is produced by Ludwig Lindell and Karl-Oskar “Cage” from Sweden was composed and written in Malay and English by Ludwig Lindell, Karl-Oskar “Cage”, Gummesson, as well as local hip hop sensation, Yonnyboii.
It is also reported that BAD garnered 100 thousand views on YouTube in one hour and also managed to rank first in the ‘trending’ on YouTube 24 hours after the Premiere.

“BAD like DOLLA’s previous hits is also about women empowerment. Some may see it as a heartbreak anthem after being mistreated by their partner, while some may dedicate it to their partners and friends who have always doubted their sincerity and never showed positive support. There is a line in the song which sings – You never met a woman just like me, you’ll see, kau takkan pernah agak, which can be interpreted in many different ways,” said Syasya, one fourth of the band.

BAD is a track about a person that has been hurt multiple times. Finally, after having enough, this person refuses to take it anymore and lets their dark side show.
“I personally think BAD is a turning point for DOLLA. If our previous songs showed a softer side of the group, BAD personifies DOLLA after actually glowing up and ready to face the world,” added Syasya.
Similar to their previous efforts, BAD comes with a mind-blowing music video carefully crafted to suit the needs and personality of the group.

“It took us two days to shoot the music video, but it was all worth it. With next level dance moves accompanied by our dancers and amazing camera shots, the video really does depict the overall positive vibes and vibrant energy given during the whole filming process,” said Sabronzo of DOLLA who was very pleased with the outcome.
Apart from the long hours needed for the recording of the music video, BAD also had other challenges for the group.

“There was a lot of training involved to synchronize our vocal capabilities and dance moves. Thankfully, we were guided by Cikgu Shafi and Ezra who helped in bringing out the best in us. And we are actually quite proud to see the results after all the effort we have put in,” said Tabby.

“I hope everyone will love this comeback track from us after laying low for quite a while. We have been preparing to release this song since the Movement Control Order (MCO) and now finally after all the hard work, we hope our fans will love DOLLA’s new persona,” ended Angel about the track.
