re:LIVE by From The Live Decks helps Malaysia’s aspiring music creators to amped up their beat

re:LIVE by From The Live Decks powered by Kardinal has reported their recent 3-days 2-nights bootcamp at Momo’s Kuala Lumpur was a success as it attracts over 60 attendees. Ronald Yeo, Creative Director of Kardinal said “We were pleasantly surprised and thrilled that so many music enthusiasts came together during the bootcamp. We at Kardinal are humbled and inspired to be part of this experience.”

The organizer has confirmed their attendees of the event were made up by a variety of producers, vocalists, songwriters, and DJs from different backgrounds and genre. The aspiring Malaysian music creators has gathered to heighten their musical knowledge and relive-ed their creative musical journey through a weekend creative escapade.

“It’s exciting to hear how inspired and talented these young Malaysian artists are, creating sonics that are unlike anywhere else in the Western world. I’d like to encourage the best of the best to continue showing us what you got for future competitions throughout Asia, and I’m looking forward to hearing your music soon,” said Maximillian Yu, Head A&R of the #1 US dance music label – Astralwerks.

As this is a bootcamp, the attendees were required to pushed beyond their limits as they tested out their skills in the songwriting and remix challenges. The organizer has confirmed that challengers are tasked to finish a track remix or a brand new original within a span of 24-hours. A total of 6 remixes and 4 original demos were submitted within the given time limit. Arthur Davis, a student from Indonesia studying in Kuala Lumpur won the remix challenge; while a trio by Kyeson, Nicole Mah, and Sophia Shann won the first place in the songwriting challenge with their song “Without Your Love”.

The Music Director at HITZ.FM – Navin Rishal agreed that this event was indeed empowering, engaging, and inspiring; and that he hopes FTLD’s initiative can be succeeded as an annual event to motivate upcoming and young musicians in the near future.

The organizers were glad that the event was met with positive feedback and amazing outcomes. From The Live Decks is expecting the next event to take place tentatively in June 2022.
