Xiaomi has finally launched the brand new Redmi 12 in Malaysia. Redmi 12 will be available in Malaysia at Authorized Xiaomi Stores from 15 July at a starting price of RM 599.
The device is measured at 8.17mm thick while features a premium glass back and an all-new infinite camera design. It also offers a comfortable handgrip and has IP53 rating. For ports, it has an 18W Type-C fast charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is available in three different colors – Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver.
In the display department, Redmi 12 uses a 6.79” FHD+ DotDisplay screen with 90Hz Adaptive Sync. The display can output a resolution of 2460×1080, which gives good viewing experience for reading, watching videos, gaming, and more. The phone is SGS Low Blue Light certified, and its Reading mode 3.0 enables users to enjoy content for longer without putting extra strain on the eye. Redmi 12 also equipped with a powerful loudspeaker for better entertainment experience.
For cameras, the Redmi 12 has a triple rear camera system that features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. Xiaomi is including seven popular filmCamera filters to elevate your photography experience with pixel-level calculations and real-time previews for the Redmi 12.
Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio G88 processor while pairing up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. If you need more storage, you can expand it up to 1TB via the expandable storage. Redmi 12 also has a long battery life thanks to a 5,000mAh battery that offers 23 days of standby time, 133 hours of music playback, 26 hours of online reading, or 16 hours of watching videos. Redmi 12 comes with a user-friendly side-mounted fingerprint sensor for fast and easy access. The smartphone can also be used as an IR remote to control devices at home.
Pricing and availability
Xiaomi Malaysia has confirmed that the Redmi 12 will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 15 July in two variants – RM 599 (4GB+128GB)* and RM 699 (8GB+256GB). Redmi 12 can be purchased at Authorized Xiaomi Stores and other official retailers in Malaysia, as well as on Lazada and Shopee. Those interested can also enjoy a special early bird pricing of RM 499 for the 4GB+128GB variant on July 15 onwards, while stocks last.
