Radical Japan Co., Ltd. has announced the upcoming Radical Cup Japan, starting in 2027. This series will bring the popular one-make racing to Japan, featuring the Radical SR3 XXR and SR3 XX* in exciting races.
Currently covering 14 countries worldwide, the Radical Cup format offers exciting high-speed racing, ending with the prestigious World Finals.
Organized by Radical Japan, with help from Craft-Bamboo Racing, the first Japanese season will start in May and continue with events in June, July, and September 2027. Each of the four rounds will have two races, totaling eight races for the season.
The proposed schedule includes the innovative sports prototypes competing at some of Japan’s top tracks: Sportsland SUGO, Mobility Resort Motegi, Tsukuba Circuit, and Okayama International Circuit.
As a lead-up to the 2027 championship, Radical Japan has turned two late-2026 track days into exciting events for new drivers and potential buyers.
The first event, the Radical Japan ‘Exhibition Race,’ is on November 3 at Okayama International Circuit. It will include practice sessions, qualifying, and two exhibition races, following the expected format for the 2027 series.
The second event, the Radical Japan ‘Training Day,’ will take place on December 12 at Mobility Resort Motegi. This day will feature driving sessions, Time Attack sessions, and a chance to get professional feedback, along with educational lectures on Vehicle Data Analysis.
Spots for these events are open to the public. Drivers can enter their own SR3 XXR or SR3 XX cars, or inquire about new and used cars, as well as rental options.
Limited Run SR3 XXR Launch Package and Track Experiences
To celebrate its official arrival in Japan and prepare for the 2027 season, Radical Japan has launched a limited edition package called the “SR3 XXR Launch Package,” with only 10 units available.
The package starts at ¥22,833,800 (including tax) and comes ready for racing, meeting all requirements for the Radical Cup Japan right away. This includes a 1500cc engine upgrade and a built-in safety structure.
Radical Japan is also offering a test drive program. For ¥110,000 (including tax), interested drivers can book a 30-minute track session in an SR3 XXR demo car at different circuits in Japan. The test drive fee will be fully refunded as cashback if a vehicle is purchased.
