Poptron offers Malaysia micro and emerging brands to go Digital and abroad

Before the pandemic, pop-up bazaars in Malaysia were used to be the way for local micro and emerging brands to get the attention of the public. However, with current situation, local micro and emerging brands need to find an alternative solution to survive, which is going digital.

Enter Poptron, a lifestyle social commerce platform which aims to bring the magic and excitement of traversing rows of stalls at the local art bazaars to your fingertips. Poptron, a portmanteau of the words POP-ups, TRust and ONline, was launched on September 2019 and its headquartered at Kuala Lumpur. The company welcomes brands that share the same ethical, responsible and socially conscious aspirations as them, in line with their mission to create a like-minded community in the lifestyle, arts and crafts space.

Poptron’s founder, Brian Johnson Lowe said, “Our local pop-up bazaars used to be my way of discovering and supporting all these interesting, high-quality products from small brands and businesses. These microbrands often already have their own followings but finding them online can be difficult unless they were suggested to us by the discovery algorithm, or if we already know the brand name. With Poptron, all these microbrands are located in one place making it easy for lovers of high quality, lifestyle products to discover and explore these beloved brands,” he added.

Poptron also claimed their site has a list of 100 different micro and emerging brands and over 1,000 products ranging from personal care, fashion items, arts and crafts, to pets necessities and home & living. Some of the local brand you should take note on the site is Baba Baa, CindertoElla, Kapas Living, Kulihart, Mandi, SAHARA by Psamathe, Sundari Gifts, The Honey Hearts, The Two Pineapples, The Watertree Project and more.

Poptron has recently received funding of USD1 million and will be expanding their operations globally, beginning with Singapore by Q1 2021. A version 2.0 of the platform recently went live with an elevated on-the-go shopping experience providing a clean, intuitive layout. The platform provides free essential e-commerce tools for microbrands to manage the order to fulfilment process and can look forward to a slew of new tools and integrations that will enable them to grow their business regionally.

The new direction will allow more local microbrands to be able to reach global audiences and boost their business potential with Poptron. On that note, give Poptron a visit today and check out what’s offering on the platform: www.poptron.co
