PMGC 2025 Grand Finals: ALPHA7 secures the Trophy

The PUBG MOBILE GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP (PMGC) 2025 has come to an exciting end, featuring five teams from Southeast Asia in a thrilling Grand Finals. Brazilian team ALPHA7 has won the championship, taking home the PMGC trophy for the first time after participating in six tournaments.

All six matches took place on the final day, and the winner was decided in the last game, creating a suspenseful finish for fans around the world. ALPHA7’s steady performance under pressure helped them secure the win.

ALPHA GAMING’s TOP was named Finals MVP for the second time and received a Porsche Cayenne. The Mongolian team also showed their skills by finishing in the overall Top 3. ULF Esports made a strong comeback on Day 3 to take second place but could not catch up to ALPHA7’s points lead.

Teams from Southeast Asia performed well throughout the tournament. Indonesia’s Alter Ego finished in 8th place, with player ROSEMARY winning the ‘Best IGL’ award. Malaysia’s ALLIANCE improved from last year, advancing to the Last Chance stage but narrowly missing the Finals, which only allowed the top two teams to qualify.

D’XAVIER from Vietnam came in the highest ranking among their region’s teams. Team Flash impressed in their first PMGC appearance by qualifying for the Grand Finals. The host team from Thailand faced difficulties in the Finals, as Vampire Esports and eArena could not match their earlier performances.

“Congratulations to all the teams that reached the global stage. We are extremely proud of ALLIANCE for their resilience and determination in competing among the world’s best. Their journey reflects the growth and potential of our local esports ecosystem. As we look ahead to next year’s tournaments, we remain committed to investing in talent, strengthening the ecosystem, and creating more pathways for teams to shine on the global stage,” said Eugene Chin, Country Manager for Tencent Games in Malaysia.
