World Table Tennis (WTT), PICO, and Intel have launched the PICO x Intel WTT E-Smash 2025, a new VR competition at China Smash 2025 in Beijing’s Shougang Park. This event merges the rich tradition of table tennis in China with the innovative realm of VR esports, offering a unique way to play and experience the sport. With WTT’s expertise, PICO’s VR advancements, and Intel’s technology, it aims to redefine the boundaries of table tennis.

The event unfolds in three stages:

  • Global Registration: August 25 – September 2, 2025
  • Global Online Qualifiers: September 4 – September 14, 2025
  • Finals: October 5, 2025, at Beijing’s Shougang Park, with the China Finals and Global Finals held side by side.

Fans can immerse themselves in the action from 25 September to 5 October inside PICO’s zone at Shougang Park, featuring ten days of interactive VR experiences. The official competition will use Eleven Table Tennis, known for its accurate physics engine that captures every spin and rally. Its new Mixed Reality mode enables a virtual table in real-world settings.

With Intel ensuring high-performance online play and PICO providing immersive technology, the event creates a unique ecosystem for athletes, gamers, and fans. China Smash 2025 will host the world’s best athletes across five categories, while PICO x Intel WTT E-Smash 2025 introduces a groundbreaking VR competition alongside it.
