
The Petronas-MSF Merdeka Race 2025, powered by Petronas Primax, has officially announced to feature a 111-lap endurance race with over 400 cars and motorcycles on Sunday, 31 August.
This year marks the 8th anniversary of the MSF Merdeka Race weekend, which has become one of the most exciting racing events each year. The 5.534km Petronas-Sepang International Circuit will host the MSF SuperTurismo race for cars and the MotoMSF Superbikes.
In the main MSF SuperTurismo Merdeka 111 Endurance Race, the distance has increased from 88 laps to 99 laps in 2024, and now to 111 laps, with a planned race time of five hours.
The race will award RM 5,000 to the overall winner, RM 3,000 to the runner-up, and RM 2,000 to the 2nd runner-up. Each category has additional prizes: RM 3,500 for the winner, RM 1,500 for the runner-up, and RM 1,000 for the 2nd runner-up, across six classes.
MotoMSF Superbikes will shift from 12 laps to a 33-lap endurance format, involving two riders and two motorcycles per team. The overall winner will receive RM 8,000, with RM 5,000 for the 1st runner-up, RM 3,000 for the 2nd runner-up, RM 2,000 for the 3rd runner-up, and RM 1,500 for the 4th runner-up.

This year’s MSF Merdeka Race weekend will include the American V-Twin Cup by Prodigy Racing, featuring classic American motorcycles like Harley Davidson and Indian. This series started this year, and Round 3 will take place this weekend, showcasing powerful bikes with up to 2000cc engines, usually seen on highways, racing in a 7-lap event.
On Sunday, there will also be a 40-minute + 1-lap race for four classes: SuperSeries, Tuner Production, SkillDRVN one-make race, and Campro Cup. Additionally, a 75-minute + 1-lap race for the Sage and MyVi Cups will occur.
Racing on Sunday (31 August) kicks off with the American V-Twin Cup by Prodigy Racing at 11:00 am, followed by the 33-lap MotoMSF Superbikes endurance race at 12:00 noon, and the main event, the MSF SuperTurismo Merdeka 111 Endurance Race, at 5:00 pm.
Access to public is opened from 10.00am to 11.00pm and tickets are priced at RM35 (inclusive of paddock and pit access). Free admission is granted to children below the age of 12. Food trucks and the sale of merchandises are also available on site.
