Perhaps I have grew an interest on the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra after the media preview event

Samsung Malaysia recently invited the media to attend the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra preview. In this event, the media are required to visit 5 booths highlighting the Note20 Ultra features that brings leisure and productivity to the next level. Now, let’s see the awesome Note20 Ultra through my lens.

Note20 Ultra is a one of the best gaming on-the-go smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra maybe the gaming smartphone you should get. The fast 120Hz refresh adaptive display is amazing when gaming. There are some games like Asphalt 9 where you will noticed the screen will not be using 120Hz refresh because the game was also capped at 60fps. Thus, it will make the battery consumption a little bit better and I would agreed with Samsung decision to go with the adaptive display.

But if you preferred to play on the big screen, you can use Miracast your content to Samsung (and others that support Miracast) TVs and start playing on the big screen. It is a good experience but I would say the Note20 Ultra screen is good enough. Gameplay with Asphalt 9 was also fluid meaning the phone has been optimised properly.

Working on the Note20 Ultra is a bliss

To be frank, the Note series is a good device for people who are always working-on-the-go. With this Note20 Ultra, there is no difference as well and it has even more significant features now. Whatever notes you have taken or any documents amended on the Note20 Ultra, the document and notes will be save through out other Samsung device like the Tab S7+ and Windows device. I certainly wish this technology could have landed sooner but it is here now and it’s on Samsung device.

Do you still remember Samsung DeX feature? This feature allows user to use a USB to HDMI cable to connect to a monitor and make it into a mobile desktop. Now you can just forget about the cable and use DeX wireslessly. Everything is so seamless even without the use of a cable. Just make sure your monitor and TV supports mirroring function and you’re good to go.

Stay connected with Samsung ecosystem

If you’re really comfortable with every Samsung devices, then you will love this new feature. The Note20 Ultra can stay connected within the Samsung ecosystem. You can connect with two, yes, I mean 2 Galaxy Live Buds on the latest Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra. You can even pickup calls on the Galaxy Tab S7+ when connected to the Note20 Ultra as well if you’ve placed your phone somewhere far!

Stay stylish and active

The Note20 Ultra also comes with few official cases by Samsung. Each case suits every individual taste while giving an extra protection for the device. There is one case caught my eye which has kickstand, rubberised side bumper and a silver-coloured back. Recently at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020, we also saw the launch of the new Galaxy Watch3. In the event, we managed to see and feel the smartwatch personally. There are new straps for the smartwatch and it is possible to use with previous models. The new rotating dial on the Galaxy Watch3 is so good and precise. The Galaxy Watch3 and Note20 Ultra can stream some exercise videos via the Samsung Health app too.

A device for illustrator in heart

The event also saw some local illustrators telling their stories of using the S-Pen. With the lower latency on the Note20 Ultra’s stylus, one of the illustrator told me that she is starting to prefer using the device to illustrate than to turn on a PC to do illustration works. She also added that the new Note20 Ultra deliver even better precision feel when drawing. I have tried out the stylus on the Note20 Ultra and I’m also impressed with the feel of the stylus.

Samsung Galaxy Note20 series: First impressions are good

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed with the Samsung Galaxy Note20 series during the media preview event. So many amazing features which just left me wondering could this be the time to get a Note? Well, it sparked my interest to have it and I’m pretty sure I would recommend it to anyone who wants it. That, if you feel the retail price of RM 5,199.00 for Samsung Galaxy Note20 is affordable and it is 5G ready.

For those who wants to get the Galaxy Note20 series in Malaysia from August 21st till October 31st 2020, customers who purchase any Galaxy Note20 smartphone within the series will be entitled to a FREE UV Sterilizer with Wireless Charger and a Wireless Charger Convertible, worth RM508. The deal is available for all Samsung Experience Stores nationwide or the Samsung e-store.
