The Max Original series Peacemaker from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television, is set to return for its eight-episode second season on Friday, 22 August 2025, streaming on Max.
The new season features Christopher “Chris” Smith, known as Peacemaker, a vigilante superhero. He tries to understand his past while finding his new purpose, all while battling evil in his quest for peace at any cost.
The cast for season two includes John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick returning. New members joining the cast are Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows. James Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed three, including the first one. Gunn, Peter Safran, and John Cena are the executive producers. Directors also include Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Althea Jones. Peacemaker is based on characters from DC and is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in partnership with Warner Bros. Television.
