Pavilion KL rewards frontliner’s efforts during pandemic with early screening of ‘JUANG’ for this year’s Merdeka celebration

For this Merdeka celebration, Pavilion KL collaborated with Dadi Cinema to offer tickets to the movie, ‘JUANG’ on 30 and 31 August 2022 as an appreciation to all frontliners for their efforts in fighting the pandemic.

‘JUANG’ tells the story of the bittersweet moments throughout the two years of pandemic in Malaysia. Frontliners including policemen, firefighters, medical practitioners, media, food delivery riders, e-hailing and taxi drivers only needed to flash proof of their occupation or turn up dressed in their uniforms at Dadi Cinema, Pavilion KL, to redeem one pair of ‘JUANG’ movie tickets.

To make things special, frontliners were treated to a special appearance by the cast of ‘JUANG’ including Jack Lim, Izzue Islam, and director Matt Lai who turned as a surprise at the 6pm screening on 30 August 2022.

Sarjakhan Ghani, the Superintendent of Police, Bukit Aman said, “Thank you so much for the invitation. My wife and I would always come to Pavilion KL for movies and spend our free time here together. Thank you, Pavilion KL for having me!”

Haslinda binti Hasan, an inspector from Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Kuantan said, “As a police officer, almost all of our time is spent in the PDRM so when we finally have some free time, we will go to the cinemas to relax and forget about stress for a while. Really thankful to be invited to watch JUANG at Dadi Cinema, Pavilion KL today. We are also proud to see so many local films, such as JUANG, featuring the frontliners to show everyone what we have been through during the pandemic.”
