Myra teams up with Unity Kitchen to enhance Myra Senja homeownership experience

Myra, the brand of Oriental Interest Berhad (OIB), has teamed up with Unity Kitchen to include designer kitchen cabinetry in every open market unit at Myra Senja in Subang 2, aiming to minimize post-purchase renovations and ease the transition to homeownership.

Myra has collaborated with Panasonic Malaysia to provide energy-efficient home appliances in its Myra Senja units, enhancing the standard features of the development. This initiative responds to homebuyers’ increasing focus on the cost and convenience of moving into new homes, particularly prioritizing kitchen renovations post-purchase.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between Myra, represented by its Chief Operating Officer, Wendy Lim (left) and Unity Kitchen Sdn Bhd, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Erny Looi Chee En at Myra Senja Gallery.

Akil Hassan, Chief of People and Growth at Myra, said the developer believes a homeowner-first philosophy should extend beyond the purchase itself, with property developers playing a greater role in helping buyers transition more seamlessly into their new homes.

“Receiving the keys should be the start of enjoying a new home, yet for many homeowners, essential
spaces such as the kitchen still require significant renovation work, time and expense before they are ready for everyday living.

“By integrating practical features that homeowners would otherwise need to source and install themselves, we hope to reduce some of that burden and help families settle into their homes sooner. That is why we continue to explore collaborations with trusted brands that can add meaningful value to the overall homeownership experience,” he said.

Myra Senja, with a gross development value (GDV) of RM400 million, features three residential towers with three and four-bedroom homes ranging from 1,101 sq ft to 1,409 sq ft, priced between RM658,000 and RM988,200. Designed with a low-density layout of 12 units per floor, it offers spacious, family-oriented homes that adapt to evolving household needs.

Each open market unit includes a kitchen package with cabinets, quartz stone countertops, cooker hoods, and soft-close drawers. Selected Type T2B layouts feature an island counter. The cabinetry utilizes Unity Kitchen’s UNS LED lighting and anti-cockroach board technology, supported by a 10-year warranty through the Care Plus programme.

Erny Looi Chee En, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Unity Kitchen Sdn Bhd, said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating homes that respond to the practical needs of homeowners.

“Homeowners today increasingly expect kitchens that combine functionality, durability and ease of maintenance. By incorporating quality materials and practical design solutions from the start, we hope to provide a kitchen environment that continues to meet the needs of homeowners long after they move in,” he said.

The market response to Myra Senja has been positive, with around 60% of Phase 1, Block B sold. Block A is set to launch in Q3 2026.

The development features a landscaped podium, a 25-metre lap pool, water play areas, badminton courts, a reading room, outdoor fitness spaces, and ground-floor retail, along with a boutique hotel, enhancing lifestyle and convenience for residents.

Located in Subang 2 and near areas like Kota Damansara, Myra Senja offers great accessibility via DASH Expressway, close to educational, retail, and healthcare amenities.
