Director and producer Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah mentioned they are honoured to be part of the MCU as it’s a dream come true for them. When they met the Kevin Feige for the project, they said, “Yo, we cannot, not be part of that.” Somehow, the project was greenlighted after convincing to the management and gave them a great opportunity and chance to be part of this amazing project. As the duo are Moroccan Belgians, they felt it was something special and grateful being part of the MCU and doing it in such a way with the first Muslim superhero as well.

Meanwhile for Iman Vellani (who is playing as Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel), she initially thought it was a scam when she receives the WhatsApp message for casting call during February 2020. When she finally know that the message was real, she did her best to get the role while busying with her studies and finally got casted on the last day of high school. While she may still not feeling anything, Iman is still feeling excited to represent Kamala Khan character and looking forward for MCU fans reaction to the series.

As for Sana Amanat (executive producer), getting the right music to represent Ms Marvel was truly important for the series as it was based on South Asian culture. Sana was curating the playlist for the series since Kevin ask her to join aboard for the Ms Marvel project. She thinks that South Asian music and South Asian diasporic music is probably some of the best music in the world, and it was just a great platform to have them on the series. So, you can expect fantastic South Asian music playing when you watch Ms Marvel in your living room!

Be sure to catch Ms Marvel on Disney+ Hotstar in Malaysia from 8 June 2022.
