The Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association (MPIA) has officially rebranded as the Malaysian Photovoltaic and Sustainable Energy Industry Association (MPSEA). This change reflects its expanded mission to lead Malaysia towards a sustainable energy future. For over ten years, MPIA has been pivotal in the solar photovoltaic sector, and the new MPSEA will focus on uniting and empowering the entire renewable energy ecosystem, encompassing policy, industry, and public engagement.
“At the Malaysian Photovoltaic and Sustainable Energy Industry Association (MPSEA), we carry greater responsibility in uniting the renewable energy ecosystem by championing stronger collaboration, policy engagement, and public awareness,” said Ir. Justin Sim (D.S.M), President of MPSEA. “Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy solutions that drive Malaysia’s clean energy future—not just for the industry, but for the nation as a whole.”
The name change signifies more than a new identity; it represents MPSEA’s renewed commitment to:
- Foster cross-sector collaboration between stakeholders in the clean energy value chain.
- Advocate for progressive policies that support renewable energy growth.
- Raise public awareness and education around sustainable energy practices.
MPSEA will serve its members—including developers, installers, manufacturers, researchers, and service providers—while increasing engagement with government, academia, civil society, and the public. This rebranding coincides with Malaysia’s pursuit of ambitious renewable energy targets and climate goals aligned with global sustainability agendas.
