MINI Malaysia has recently announced the latest MINI Aceman, MINI’s first fully electric compact crossover. Accompanying the all-new model is a preview of the New MINI Cooper S 5-Door, which builds upon the iconic 3-door model, with an added emphasis on practicality.

The New MINI Aceman: Uniquely Innovative, but Unmistakably MINI.
The MINI Aceman offers a fresh and minimalist design language, that falls under MINI’s new “Charismatic Simplicity” philosophy. With its clean lines and unmistakable styling, the MINI Aceman stands out from the crowd while maintaining its roots within the iconic MINI family. Up on the front, a large octagonal grille framed in Vibrant Silver is a defining visual feature, complemented by distinctive LED headlights that offer a choice of three different light signatures. These modern, angular lights enhance the vehicle’s expressive appearance, while the sharply defined bonnet gives it a bold and assertive front profile.
The 19-inch Hexagram spoke wheels and robust wheel arches brings the sporty and versatile nature of the MINI Aceman, while roof rails and a stylised skid plate underscore its adventurous crossover character. At the rear, the horizontal surfaces and upright LED taillights in three signature designs reflect the timeless MINI style.
On the inside of the Aceman, a minimalist and sustainable interior that prioritises sophistication and comfort. It is now equipped with the high-resolution 240mm round OLED touchscreen display, powered by the new MINI Operating System 9. This circular interface is seamlessly integrated into the dashboard, providing a visually striking centrepiece in the cabin. The interior design uses the modern sustainable materials, including the dashboard and other interior surfaces being wrapped in a recycled knit fabric, replacing traditional chrome and leather for a more environmentally conscious approach. Spacious interior, comfortable legroom, and an essentialist design create a bright and airy cabin atmosphere. There is also MINI Head-Up Display that projects essential information, such as speed, directly into driver’s line of sight. For the love high quality audio on the road, it is equipped with the Harman Kardon Surround Sound system.
The MINI Operating System 9 is designed to offer seamless connectivity and personalisation. The high-definition OLED display serves as the central hub for vehicle controls, navigation, media, and telephony, providing a highly intuitive interface for both the driver and passengers. The MINI Aceman also introduces the new MINI Experience Modes, which allow drivers to customise their driving environment with ambient lighting, soundscapes, and graphic projection onto the dashboard, creating a unique and immersive atmosphere specific to the drivers’ needs. The MINI app also enables advanced functionalities like remote vehicle control, trip planning, and monitoring of charging activities, allowing for a truly connected and digital-forward driving experience. The MINI Digital Key Plus is also available, transforming a smartphone into a digital vehicle key.
Powering the Aceman is a permanently excited synchronous motor (PSM), delivering 160 kW (218 hp) and 330 Nm of torque to the front wheels, while reaching the century sprint in just 7.1 seconds. The Aceman retains the classic MINI go-kart driving experience, now with the added benefit of electric power. The 54.2 kWh high-voltage battery offers a WLTP range of up to 406 kilometres.
The MINI Aceman comes with a low centre of gravity and expertly tuned chassis deliver a highly responsive, dynamic drive, with Servotronic steering offering precise feedback. Preloaded stabilisers come as standard, ensuring minimal body roll and exceptional handling in corners. In GO-KART mode, the New MINI Aceman’s accelerator becomes even more responsive. Additionally, the direct wheel slip limitation system, which operates faster and more efficiently than typical traction control systems, provides superior traction on all road surfaces, further enhancing the fun and confidence behind the wheel.
Juicing up the MINI Aceman is available with multiple charging options for convenience and flexibility. With DC fast charging of up to 95 kW, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes, making it ideal for quick stops on long journeys. At home or public AC charging stations, the Aceman supports up to 11 kW charging, allowing a full charge overnight. The vehicle also comes with automatic battery preconditioning, ensuring optimal charging performance and allowing users to set charging times or schedule the vehicle to be fully charged by a specific time via the MINI app.
For safety features, the Aceman is packing with a range of driver assistance systems. Features such as Lane Change Warning, Speed Limit Info, and Front Collision Warning with brake intervention help drivers navigate with confidence. The Parking Assistant Plus takes the stress out of parking, with features like Active Park Distance Control, Reversing Assist Camera, and even Remote 3D View, allowing drivers to park and exit spaces effortlessly.
The MINI Aceman enhances the driving experience with advanced digital capabilities, including the MINI Connected Package, available as an optional upgrade through the MINI Connected Store. This package offers customers a flexible, subscription-based approach to accessing additional vehicle functions, from 3D building visualisation and augmented reality navigation to optimised charging routes and live-traffic information. Entertainment options, such as in-car gaming, video streaming, and access to third-party apps, further augments the Aceman’s digital offering. Additionally, the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant, complete with the animated avatar “Spike,” allows for voice-activated controls, making the driving experience more intuitive and engaging.
There will be three colours to choose from for the MINI Aceman: Rebel Red, Indigo Sunset Blue and Melting Silver.
The MINI Cooper S 5-Door, Practicality and Contemporary Design Like Never Before.
The latest MINI Cooper S 5-Door adds versatility as the two additional doors for easier rear seat access. The longer wheelbase (+72mm) and the extended length (+160mm) of the MINI Cooper S 5-Door offers a more spacious interior without compromising on the design language and the classic MINI proportions. The front of the MINI Cooper S 5-Door features the iconic round headlights with high beam assistance and an octagonal grille with a decorative black frame. There is also a contrasting roof, mirror caps, clamshell bonnet and 18’ Slide Spoke 2-tone alloy wheels to add a prominent look for the 5-Door model. The rear of the MINI Cooper S 5-Door now includes the triangular LED taillights provide a distinct design element with three selectable light signatures, while the classic bee-sting antenna and the horizontal black handle distinguishes itself with the contrasting roof.
The MINI Cooper S 5-Door’s interior features a dashboard and door trims finished in two-tone knitted fabric and made from recycled polyester. The sustainable material gives the cabin a refined and eco-conscious feel. Meanwhile, the dashboard showcases a sleek textile surface, adding a tactile quality to the design while the seats are upholstered in Vescin, a high-quality vegan leather, with perforated houndstooth patterns and contrasting blue textile inserts, offering a stylish yet comfortable seating experience. Additionally, the sport steering wheel adds to the dynamic characteristic of the model. Meanwhile, the MINI Head-Up Display ensures that drivers can focus on driving with speed and other key information displayed without the driver having to look away from the road. Similar to the MINI Aceman, the MINI Cooper S 5-Door features a Harman Kardon Surround Sound system.
The MINI Cooper S 5-Door comes with a 240-mm OLED touchscreen that offers an all-digital interface powered by the MINI Operating System 9. Other standard features are the comfort access system, the interior and exterior mirror package, the interior rear-view mirror with automatic anti-dazzle function and the child ISOFIX attachment ensuring child car seats are easily and safely installed in the vehicle.
The heart of the MINI Cooper S 5-Door is a 2.0-litre petrol engine, delivering 204 hp (150 kW) and achieving an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 6.8 seconds, with a top speed of 242 km/h. Enhanced by MINI’s TwinPower Turbo technology, the engine combines direct and port fuel injection at 350 bar pressure, along with an advanced cooling and exhaust system. Paired with a seven-speed double-clutch Steptronic transmission, the MINI Cooper S 5-Door offers a smooth, agile driving experience with MINI’s signature go-kart feel.
The driving dynamics of the MINI Cooper S 5-Door has been engineered to deliver the signature MINI experience. The chassis, derived from its predecessor, has been optimised for enhanced driving performance and spirited handling is achieved through highlight preloaded stabilisers and an optimised suspension and dampening system, allowing for precise steering responses. The standard Servotronic steering ensures high cornering speeds with minimal effort, providing a combination of comfort and sportiness depending on driver preferences. Additionally, the MINI Experience Modes, including the GO-KART mode amplifies the sporty nature of the car by adjusting the powertrain and steering setup for optimal agility. This driving mode, along with customisable steering responses and traction control, offers drivers an engaging and personalised driving experience, delivering the iconic MNI racing DNA.
Similar to the MINI Aceman, the MINI Cooper S 5-Door offers an array of advanced safety features aimed at enhancing driver support and protection. The vehicle is equipped with safety features such as Lane Change and Departure Warnings to Front Collision and Rear Crossing Traffic Warnings, ensuring the drivers maximum awareness. Enhanced driver aids are also included like Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Control Assistant, and Speed Limit Assist optimise highway driving ease, while the Parking Assistant Plus offers seamless parking and reversing assistance through features like Remote 3D View and Reversing Assistant up to 50 meters.
