Midea Malaysia recently showcased its 2025/2026 product line at the Genting International Convention Centre. This preview highlights the company’s dedication to providing smart, energy-efficient, and easy-to-use home appliances for everyone.

“Today is not just about launching new products – it’s about embracing the future of home living,” said Mark Tam, Managing Director of Midea Malaysia. “Consumer lifestyles are evolving – people are busier than ever, and they seek smarter, more efficient solutions. Midea is here to lead the next wave of change, combining affordable innovation, high-quality manufacturing, and great customer service to bring seamless smart living into every home.”

Driving Innovation in Smart, Energy-Efficient Home Appliances

The home appliance industry is changing quickly, with buyers focusing more on energy efficiency, smart features, and stylish designs. To keep up, Midea is working hard on sustainability and innovation.

As electricity prices go up, more consumers want energy-saving products. Many of Midea’s new air conditioners and refrigerators have been certified by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), with 34 air conditioner models and 13 refrigerator models earning a 4-star rating or higher. The company has also noticed that more people are buying inverter air conditioners, with energy-saving models now making up over 40% of sales.

In addition to saving energy, easy integration into homes is becoming very important for buyers. Midea’s newest smart home appliances include AI features and modern designs to meet this need. These products come with RFID and Wi-Fi technology, allowing users to control their appliances from anywhere using the SmartHome APP, creating a more connected home experience.

Midea’s Growth and Market Expansion

Midea is becoming one of the fastest-growing home appliance brands in Malaysia, mainly due to the increasing demand for energy-efficient products. Their air-conditioner sales have grown by over 30% year-on-year, and they have maintained a steady growth rate of 20% each year for the last five years.

By 2025, Midea Malaysia aims to reach RM1 billion in annual sales, expecting to grow significantly by utilizing its network of over 1,000 dealers across the country. This will help consumers access their innovative products more easily.

To enhance its position in providing smart home solutions and energy-efficient appliances, Midea is expanding its Midea Brand Stores. Over the next two years, they plan to upgrade more than 50 stores nationwide to improve the shopping experience. They are also setting up sales terminals that offer professional tech support, expert advice, and comprehensive services, showing their commitment to excellent customer service and industry growth.

As part of its transformation, Midea is becoming a tech-driven brand, improving its retail presence to offer a more engaging shopping experience. They are redesigning store layouts to showcase their focus on innovation and smart home devices, allowing consumers to experience new technology in an interactive setting.

The Next Wave of Smart Living

Midea is preparing for the future of smart living with its new range of energy-efficient home appliances. These innovations are designed to offer Malaysian consumers modern and user-friendly experiences, making smart living easier. With the SmartHome app, Midea uses Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Platform, and IoT technologies to help users control their appliances from their phones and enjoy life with their families. The new product line will be officially announced in the coming months.
