We are confident the judging panel will represent a range of different expertise, contributions, and backgrounds. The elected judges are independent, distinguished professionals, and some have been with us since the inception of this international award competition. With their diverse knowledge and experiences, we will be able to realise so much of the journalistic potential from the media fraternity and influencers.”
“Although the healthcare travel industry is currently experiencing a slower recovery period, it is important for us to appreciate the media, influencers and freelancers who are our frontliners working tirelessly in bringing us the latest news reports and compelling content. As the first-in-the-world medical travel media awards, we want more journalists, broadcasters, freelancers, and influencers around the world to be recognised for their invaluable contribution to the industry,” Mohd Daud Mohd Arif continued.
“I am thrilled and honoured to be the Head Judge for MTMA 2021. It’s a pleasure to be part of MTMA 2021 for the third time, and I look forward to working closely with the rest of my esteemed judges in recognising excellence in the medical travel journalism,” shared Manminder Dhillon, Chief Executive Officer of Supernewsroom. Manminder has won numerous awards for her work as a Public Relations practitioner, working with large conglomerates, Government Linked Corporations (GLCs) and the private sector.
Last year, MTMA 2020 received almost 400 submissions across 16 countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, United Kingdom, South Korea, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Croatia, Bangladesh, Tunisia, and China.
This year’s MTMA accepts articles, videos and social media postings related to promoting Malaysia Healthcare and the medical travel industry. Given the impact of the pandemic on the industry, news reports and stories related to COVID-19 are welcomed as well. The judges will evaluate each entry based on a comprehensive points-based scoring system. The judging criteria will focus on five areas, namely the quality of research, quality of technique or presentation, creativity, content, and digital or social reach and shareability.
For material eligibility, entries for MTMA 2021 need to be dated between 21 October 2020 and 30 September 2021. All entries must be submitted by 5.00pm on 8 October 2021 (MYT). The MTMA 2021 Virtual Awards Presentation Ceremony will take place on 9 December 2021. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate excellent journalism and bring home the awards.
