Malaysian actor Christopher Lee 李銘順 won Best Actor for HBO Asia Original series Workers 做工的人 at Golden Bell Awards

At the recent 56th Annual Golden Bell Awards, HBO Asia Original series Workers 做工的人 has managed to received four wins at the ceremony that was held in Taiwan. 

Malaysian actor Christopher Lee, one of the main cast for Workers 做工的人, was awarded Best Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film. The remaining three win for the series are Best Miniseries or Television Film, Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film (Hsueh Shih-Ling) and Best Director in a Miniseries or Television Film (Cheng Fen-Fen).

Workers 做工的人 is starred by Golden Bell-winning actor Christopher Lee 李銘順 (“ A Good Wife”, “The Long Goodbye”) and Alex Ko 《柯叔元》(“Far and Away – Dark Beauty”, “The Mirror”), and is based on a best-selling novel of the same name. The six-episode hour-long Chinese series follows a group of construction workers who daydream about being rich. They resort to countless outrageous get-rich-quick schemes only to make fools out of themselves. Despite these setbacks, the happy-go-lucky workers continue to be optimistic. Nothing will stop their pursuit of being rich beyond their wildest dreams.
