LG releases first gaming laptop under UltraGear branding

LG has recently unveiled their first gaming laptop (model 17G90Q), which will be using under their premium gaming brand, UltraGear. The LG gaming laptop has received the CES 2022 Innovation Award and is set to deliver immersive gaming experience thanks to powerful performance with a seriously sleek design.

“How powerful is the LG UltraGear gaming laptop?” may come to your mind and LG has disclosed some interesting specifications for the device. It packs the 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card, dual-channel memory and an ultra-fast dual SSD setup. The display on the LG UltraGear gaming laptop packs a 17-inch IPS panel with a 1 millisecond response time and a 300Hz refresh rate so gamers can expect immersive yet fluid visual. To keep the laptop cool and maintaining the performance over a long period, LG has put a cooling system with vapor chamber.

Despite the high performance specification, the 17G90Q has slim and highly-portable design. While accommodating a large screen and an impressive 93Wh battery, the gaming laptop just measures at a thickness of under 21.4 millimeters and a weight of less than 2.7 kilograms. It also features an aluminum casing that offers style and durability, while the winged UltraGear badge on its exterior clearly communicates the power and quality LG’s premium gaming brand is known for. 

LG’s gaming software, LG UltraGear Studio, is also available on the 17G90Q that lets gamers to customize gaming-related options and track a variety of performance data – including CPU clock, GPU TDP and clock, and memory share rate – in real-time. The laptop’s RGB keyboard also offers gamers to choose and apply a different color to every single key . 

For those need the best audio experience for their gaming laptop, the LG UltraGear gaming laptop delivers realistic, three-dimensional sound with its built-in 2 Way speaker system. It supports DTS:X Ultra where the speakers accurately convey the directionality and location of sounds in the gaming environment. Connectivity on the gaming laptop is no slouch thanks to Intel Killer Wireless, which helps guarantee a fast, stable network connection for lag- and frustration-free online gaming experiences.

At the moment, LG has confirmed their first gaming laptop will initially be available in the United States and South Korea in the first quarter of 2022 with other markets to follow.
