Samsung has launched the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra in Southeast Asia. Featuring a 99.999% filtration system and an All-in-One Clean Station, it offers diverse functionalities. This model is Samsung’s most powerful cordless stick vacuum, delivering up to 400W of suction power, revolutionizing the cleaning experience.
Air movement through a vacuum’s internal system is crucial, carrying dust and debris. This airflow is key to the vacuum’s suction power. Samsung spent six years enhancing this journey, reengineering every aspect from intake to motor for uninterrupted air movement.
The multi-cyclone system: Your personal spin expert
When air enters the vacuum, it carries everything from pet hair to dust particles. It travels through a long internal path and meets the multi-cyclone system.
Here, the air spins very fast. The strong force created by this spinning pushes dust outward, allowing clean air to continue moving forward. This process is efficient but can be intense.
In reality, the resistance from this spinning can slow down the airflow and reduce suction. To solve this, Samsung created a multi-cyclone system with 12 cyclones and 33 air inlets. With more entry points and evenly spread pathways, the airflow stays strong and balanced, facing less resistance. This allows the air to separate dust effectively while moving smoothly.
The motor: Through the eye of the storm
After going through the multi-cyclone system, the air reaches the motor, where it spins very fast—up to 148,000 times a minute.
Inside the motor, air moves through a part called the impeller, which spins quickly and then passes through the motor. The impeller looks like the blades of a jet engine and helps air move from the center out to create a vacuum.
If the air, while moving outward, takes a wrong turn and goes into the vacuum, it can disrupt the vacuum, making it harder to keep strong suction. That’s why it’s important to maintain a clear path for the air around these blades, allowing it to flow smoothly.
To improve this, Samsung changed the diffuser inside the motor from one-row to two-rows. This gives air more ways to exit, helping maintain vacuum pressure and consistent suction. By making it easier for air to escape, the suction stays stronger.
The Real-Life Impact of 400W Suction Power
What difference does 400W suction power make in everyday life? Samsung recently released a video showing tests in different situations to highlight how strong the suction is.
When a ball is placed in one end of a tube and the vacuum is turned on in Max mode from the other end, the ball rolls forward slowly but stops halfway. In Jet mode, the ball rolls so fast that it sticks to the vacuum.
Also, when air is sucked through a tube connected to a water tank in Max mode, the water only rises halfway. In Jet mode, it fills up so quickly that it spills over. With 400W suction power, Max mode works well for daily tasks, but Jet mode’s stronger suction is easy to notice.
Driven by the details
The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra was designed to allow air to flow freely, from its cyclone shape to the diffuser blade. Samsung didn’t just make a vacuum; it enhanced the airflow path, greatly improving suction performance.
