Sony has officially unveiled the RX10 V, the fifth-generation model in the RX10 series of all-in-one cameras.
The RX10 V is a versatile camera ideal for various photography needs, featuring a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm lens with 25x optical zoom and a large aperture. It incorporates AI-powered Real-time Recognition AF for accurate subject tracking and can shoot up to 30 fps. With a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor and BIONZ XRâ„¢ engine, it excels in both still photography and 4K video recording, offering excellent background blur for quality shots in diverse scenarios.
The RX10 V features an enhanced design inspired by the α™ mirrorless camera series, offering a user-friendly button layout and grip. Its larger Quad-VGA OLED electronic viewfinder ensures clear composition in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the Z-series rechargeable battery (NP-FZ100) allows for approximately 630 shots, representing a significant improvement over its predecessor.

A high-magnification zoom lens covering 24mm to 600mm (ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* F2.4-4.0 with optical image stabilization) is suitable for everything from everyday to sports and wildlife photography. Macro shooting is achievable from about 3cm at 24mm, and tele-macro from around 72cm at 600mm.
The BIONZ XR image processing engine ensures high-quality images with reduced noise at mid-to-high ISO sensitivities, ideal for low-light conditions. Natural scenes are captured with excellent detail and color fidelity.
12 Creative Look presets help achieve the desired color and texture, with options for customization. The updated D-Range Optimizer (DRO) balances highlights and shadows, enhancing portraiture in challenging lighting.
- AI-powered subject recognition and high-speed performance to capture every decisive moment
Real-time Recognition AF, powered by an AI processing unit, identifies humans, animals, birds, and vehicles, with an Auto mode for automatic subject detection. It also enables human pose estimation, tracking subjects even if their backs are to the camera or faces are obscured. Touching a subject starts Real-time Tracking, allowing focus on composition.
For high-speed performance, AF/AE calculations occur at up to 60 times per second, enabling continuous burst shooting at 30 fps with full AF/AE tracking, perfect for capturing fast-moving subjects. A Continuous Shooting Speed Boost function allows adjustments to burst speed during shooting.

The camera supports 4K 120p video recording, enabling smooth slow-motion playback up to 5x in 4K resolution. Active Mode image stabilization ensures stable handheld video. The Multi Interface (MI) Shoe allows high-quality digital audio recording with compatible microphones. AI-powered subject recognition includes an Auto Framing function for optimal composition during recording.
Additional features comprise S-Cinetone for cinematic color, S-Log3 for post-production grading, and the ability to import up to 16 user LUTs for monitoring. Time-lapse shooting and still image extraction with Shot Mark further enhance video support functions.
- Easy handling and reliability for a comfortable, dependable shooting experience
The camera features a high-resolution electronic viewfinder with a Quad-VGA OLED panel offering about 3.68 million dots and 0.78x magnification for clear composition. It includes a 3.0-type LCD monitor with approximately 1.62 million dots for detailed displays.
The RX10 V is powered by the NP-FZ100 battery, extending still image shooting to about 630 shots, a 50% improvement over the previous model.
With an intuitive button layout and grip design inspired by the α series, it allows smooth eight-direction operation while using the viewfinder. Its dust and moisture resistant design, along with Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) support, ensures reliable performance in various environments. USB Type-C® connectivity enables fast data transfer and supports 4K 30p live streaming.
Additionally, the RX10 V supports the Creators’ App for file sharing, remote control, and software updates, enhancing shooting and sharing convenience.

The RX10V will be available for pre-order in Malaysia starting from today until 26 July 2026 with the SRP of RM8,999. The pre-order includes a NP-FZ100 battery and a PGYTECH OneGo Lite Backpack (22L) in Matte Black, limited quantity and terms and conditions applied
