BMW Malaysia has launched the latest locally-assembled BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine, featuring larger dimensions and a powerful appearance.

The new model offers a distinctive new design featuring a powerful stance, complemented by a spacious interior – thanks to the new SAV’s larger dimensions. The sophisticated, stylish interior of the BMW X1 is further elevated with new additions of the BMW Curved Display and BMW Live Cockpit Plus, powered by the BMW Operating System 8. At the heart of the New BMW X1 sits a formidable two-litre, four-cylinder Twin Power Turbo engine capable of up to 204 HP.
The BMW X1 now brings larger dimensions measuring 4,500mm in length, 1,845mm in width, 1,616mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,692mm. It also has a maximum capacity of 1,527 litres. The X1 is equipped with new 19-inch light alloy wheels in V-Spoke Style 867 Bicolour, complemented by a stylised Matte Aluminium underride protection panel along with xLine bumpers in the front and rear.
BMW Malaysia has confirmed the X1 will be available in 5 colours, Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Cape York Green, Phytonic Blue and Space Silver, paired with Black Perforated Sensatec upholstery and M Headliner Anthracite.
Inside, it features BMW Curved Display with a sophisticated display configuration comprising of a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and central touchscreen 10.7-inch Control Display. Standard features of the digital BMW Live Cockpit Plus include navigation and the BMW Operating System 8, which also ensures intelligent integration of the new BMW iDrive functions and provides comprehensive connectivity such as Luxury Instrument Panel and wireless charging in the new SAV.
The floating armrest is an innovative feature that is now available in the BMW X1 which eliminates the central tunnel to free up space for storage in the centre console. The control panel including the gear selector, volume control and My Modes button are integrated into this armrest for convenience. In terms of comfort and style, owners can enjoy the new M leather steering wheel with shift paddles, two-zone automatic air conditioning and elevated front Sport seats in Sensatec for good all-round visibility, while passengers enjoy generous legroom in the rear.
Enjoy endless personalisation of the new SAV via the BMW ID, along with the six My Modes features comprising of Efficient, Sport, Relax, Expressive, Personal Mode and Art Mode. Connectivity is further enhanced with Comfort Access and the BMW Digital Key Plus that allows intelligent smartphone compatibility to unlock the vehicle hands-free while automatically activating the driver’s personal settings at the same time.
For performance, the latest X1 in Malaysia is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 7-Speed Steptronic Dual Clutch Sport transmission. The setup allow X1 to achieved a top speed of 236 km/h, with a maximum output of 204 hp (150 kW) and a peak torque of 300 Nm. 0-100 km/h will only take 7.6 seconds. The X1 also records a combined fuel consumption of 7.2 litres per 100km of travel and combined carbon emission of 158g/km.
The latest BMW X1 include the Driving and Parking Assistants, in addition to the standard Hill Start Assist, Speed Limiter, Attentiveness Assistant, Lane Departure Warning with active steering intervention, Front Collision and Left Turn Warnings – both with braking function, as well as the Evasion Assistant.
