LALIGA EA Sports FC Beat the Best was officially launched for the first time ever in Malaysia together with AEON as the main Sponsor and Vertex as LALIGA local partner and organizer of the event. LALIGA will thus repeat last season’s success and positive reception with its international Beat the Best tournaments.
This was shared during a joint press conference in Kuala Lumpur, where details about tournaments in Malaysia were revealed. The tournaments will be both online and offline. Malaysia will host an event on April 12th and 13th, 2025, which will include activities to celebrate the tournament’s final along with a LALIGA Legend, a former LALIGA player who will join the events and hold a Meet and Greet with fans.

Malaysian participants can sign up from today until March 17th to compete in the online tournaments happening from March 17th to March 23rd.

Throughout March, participants will compete for a total prize pool of RM30,000. The winner of the Malaysia tournament will have the chance to travel and experience LALIGA in Spain.
“We are very proud to host this prestigious tournament for the first time to find the best amateur player in Malaysia. This tournament reflects the values of the New Era of LALIGA, which emphasizes the connection between football, entertainment, technology, and gaming in partnership with EA SPORTS. We are also thrilled to have the right partners to bring this tournament to the country,” said Adrián Prol, delegate of LALIGA in Malaysia.
“At AEON, we are passionate about evolving experiences that inspire and engage new generations. Partnering with LALIGA, a brand known for its exciting football and that now is bringing the Beat the Best Malaysia Project to life—a celebration of skill, competition, and community. We understand the gaming world: the thrill of the battle, the drive to win, and the joy of shared experiences. With the launch of our all-new AEON Bandar Utama at the Lower Ground floor, we are creating more than a retail space; it’s a hub for gamers to connect, compete, and celebrate their passion, complete with cutting-edge esports equipment and lifestyle essentials. Our goal is to make this a vibrant gathering place where unforgettable moments and friendships are made,” said Low Ngai Yuen, Chief Merchandise and Marketing Officer from AEON.
“Vertex Esports, one of Malaysia’s premier esports agencies, is proud to collaborate with LALIGA and AEON to bring the biggest LALIGA EA SPORTS FC event in the country to life,” said Kelvin Tee, Chief Marketing Officer of Vertex Esports. “At Vertex, we are passionate about bridging the gap between digital and physical experiences, redefining how sports and entertainment intersect. As pioneers of the online-to-offline model, we have been dedicated to creating immersive and high-impact sporting events across Malaysia. This collaboration with LALIGA and AEON is a testament to our commitment to elevating the esports scene, and we are truly grateful for the trust and partnership that has made this project possible and look forward to continually be a part of the growth of the esports ecosystem in Malaysia.”
Apart from Malaysia, many other countries have also kicked off their online tournaments, and China and USA will both have their own tournaments combining online and offline challenges during 2025. To sign up to play in this tournament, click on https://beatthebest.laligafcpro.com/en
