LaLaport BBCC set to open its door in Kuala Lumpur on 20th Jan 2022

Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (LaLaport BBCC) will be commencing its operation in Kuala Lumpur on 20th January 2022. It is confirmed the mall will be managed by Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd.’s Malaysian subsidiary, MFBBCC Retail Mall Sdn Bhd (a project company established by UDA Holdings, Eco World Development Group Berhad and Employment Provident Fund Board(KWSP) to promote this project).

At the moment, the mall has confirmed approximately 400 stores with an optimal tenant mix will be opened in sequence upon its opening in January 2022. It is noteworthy that LaLaport BBCC is the first South East Asia and one of the largest commercial facilities with over 82,600sqm (est.) of floor space. Also, this is Mitsui Fudosan’s second overseas LaLaport mall after Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao.

The mall also comprises of residences, serviced apartments, office buildings and hotel as it set to be the only landmark that’s offer a new Japanese-based lifestyle. However, what make LaLaport BBCC a step above for shopping experience is bringing well-known brands in Japan including NITORI, Nojima, JONETZ by DON DON DONKI and Star Child. For gastronomy, the mall has confirmed Shin’Labo, Marta’s Kitchen, Buena Brasa Gastropub, DONQ/Mini One, MATCH EIGHT, YAKINIKU SIZZLE by YAKINIQUEST and many more. For those who need to taste Malaysian food, there will be also local restaurants that are household name in Malaysia in the mall.

The design concept for LaLaport BBCC is based on “Modern Simplicity” and “Japanese Flavour”. The mall’s interior design rooted in nature to allow shoppers to do more in the mall than shopping. With the seamless indoor-outdoor design flow, where shoppers can enjoy the mall to interact and spend time with their friends and family.

With that said, the mall is offering a variety of food scenes like Depachika Marche, Cafeteria, Gourmet Street and Garden Dining food court on Level 4 boasting a 1,400-seating capacity. LaLaport BBCC also offers various event spaces such as the Central Rooftop Garden which is 1,700 sqm site surrounded by greenery and trees. The mall also has a unique event space located at the center of Gourmet Street which is “WOW PLAZA” and “Grand Steps”, an attraction next to the main entrance that features form of illumination in tandem with seasonal events.

The mall will rolling out LaLaport MY Mobile app to help customers having a better shopping experience and provide one-stop customer service. Keeping the current digital trend in Malaysia, the mall will be providing live stream feature on social media space to highlight their happenings.
