Disney+ Hotstar has announced the Original Series Korean Crime Fantasy Thriller “Connect” will be streaming exclusively on the streaming service soon.
The Korean series starts with Ha Dongsoo, a man with a secret. Throughout his entire life he has had the ability to immediately heal from any injury, no matter how serious. While amazing, this ability has led those who have discovered it to label Dongsoo a “monster”. Once again finding himself alone and wandering the streets of the big city, Dongsoo is suddenly kidnapped by a gang of organ harvesters who are determined to take his eyes. After awakening on the operating table, he is able to escape, but later discovers that he can still see out of his missing eye, which is now being used by a serial killer who has been terrorizing the residents of Seoul. Determined to get back what was taken, Dongsoo will pursue the serial killer, taking whatever steps are necessary to make himself whole again.
A unique collaboration between prolific Japanese director Miike Takashi (13 Assassins, Ichi the Killer, Gozu) and writers Nakamura Masaru and Heo Dam (Monstrum), Connect features an all-star cast of Korean talent, including Jung Haein (Snowdrop, Start-Up, Tune in for Love) as Ha Dongsoo, a self-healing man who now has the vision of a prolific serial killer, Ko Kyungpyo (Decision to Leave, Seoul Vine, Private Lies) as serial killer Oh Jinseop, and Kim Hyejun (Inspector Koo, Kingdom, Sinkhole) as the mysterious Irang.
