Ki Misri launches new single ‘Orang Baik’

Amir Zaki Misri or more known as Ki Misri, has launched his latest single entitled ‘Orang Baik’, composed by Barr Hadiff and Rudy Nastia, while published by Warner Music Malaysia.

At just 22, a Bachelor of Digital Marketing student at Universiti Teknologi Mara currently undergoing industrial training, his journey began in June 2020. Ki Misri embarked on his creative path by uploading 12 self-written songs to YouTube.

“However, my song ‘cover’ ‘Arjuna Beta’ and ‘Sesuatu Di Jogja’ got unexpected attention from listeners in Malaysia and Indonesia, until I was approached by Warner Music Malaysia, and this is where I established myself.

‘Diam tak diam’ is Ki Misri‘s third single with Warner Music Malaysia, and every time the work he produces has its own story and deep meaning, he shared, “The song ‘Orang Baik’ tells about appreciating the people who always support us and always give us encouragement.

“Some people always think about other people’s bad words and make themselves depressed, there should be no need for that, just think about the good people who are always with us because that is more appropriate”, said Ki Misri.

Even though he is young, his soul is ‘old-school’ and the genre he brings is more pop ‘folk’ which is usually brought by artists who are far older than him, when asked why, he added “I tend to bring stories of human fatigue in the form of melody as well as rhythm, talking about what which people are unable to express”.

“The process of producing a work takes a long time and the ‘Orang Baik’ song takes four months to complete, while the recording process is done at Studio Mixbro Records belonging to Rudy Nastia.

In addition to the single, a lyric video was also launched with interesting caricature imagery, and a music video (MV) will be produced later with a metaphorical narration, “So far, Orang Baik‘s MV is still in the process of completion, which is sure to be interesting.

Ki Misri concluded, “My hope for the ‘Orang Baik’ single is that it will be heard by the right people, the people who need to know, that it is important to think about the people who are always with us and ignore the opposite”.

And for the music fans out there who like songs about human stories, do tune in and listen to ‘Orang Baik’.

The song ‘Orang Baik’ can be downloaded on iTunes and used as a ringtone for calls to all local telecommunication companies and can be heard at any time through online streaming applications such as Spotify, KKBox, Deezer, Apple Music and even YouTube Music.

The MV of this single can be watched exclusively only on Warner Music Malaysia‘s special YouTube channel.
