K-drama Jirisan will have Jin from BTS to sing main theme song as iQiyi drops character poster for the series

iQiyi has released the latest character posters for its Original K-series Jirisan, featuring Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon. The posters show both stars clad in National Park Ranger gear, and their worried expressions coupled with taglines hinting at the series’ mysteries are set to raise anticipation for the show’s debut on October 23rd.

Jun’s poster shows her dressed in a firefighter’s jacket with a respirator mask hanging from her ear, and her expression is one of concern. The poster’s tagline, which translates to “Someone’s sending a signal from that mountain”, raises questions as to who that might be. Ju Ji-hoon meanwhile, wears a pained expression for his poster, along with the tagline, “I’m sure that person’s alive” – leaving fans to wonder who this survivor is and how Ju came to know of the person’s condition.

In addition to the stellar cast and crew line-up for the series, Jirisan’s production studio Astory also recently surprised fans by announcing that Jin of Korean idol group BTS is set to sing the series’ main theme song. Astory stated, “The main theme song enables Jin to express his unique voice quality, and fans can expect to enjoy it from midway through Jirisan. A release date for the song will be announced at a later time.” The amazing collaboration of talents on Jirisan will leave fans around the world in eager anticipation of the show’s debut.

The iQiyi Original K-series will debut in an exclusive simulcast with Korea on October 23rd on the iQiyi International app and iQ.com worldwide.
