Evolvelectric Motors Sdn Bhd has launched the JAC T9 double-cab pickup truck in Malaysia, which includes an efficient diesel engine and a modern electric vehicle (BEV) model. The T9 is designed with a stylish look, a comfortable interior, advanced technology, and impressive performance, setting a new standard for pickup trucks.
The T9 2.0L diesel variant is the only pickup in Malaysia to receive a 5-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) using the newest scoring system. Additionally, the T9 BEV is the first 4X4 electric pickup truck in Malaysia.
Mr. Lau Yit Mun, the CEO of Evolvelectric Motors, mentioned that the T9’s versatility makes it a great choice for all Malaysian drivers.

“Equipped with 64-colour ambient light and music rhythm lighting, the T9 ensures a vibrant and dynamic cabin atmosphere. The T9 features a host of luxurious features such as an abundant charging interface combination of 50W wireless charging, USB, Type-C and 220V multi-power socket; armrest with cooling air vent to keep your desserts and drinks chilled; 10.4-inch touch screen Infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; 7-inch instrument cluster; 360° high-definition camera so you can see your surroundings, intelligent electronic shift with 4 modes i.e., Eco, Normal, Sport and Snow; and level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System. These features make driving a big vehicle such as the T9 a breeze,” added Mr Lau.
The T9 diesel model has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 125kW of power and 410Nm of torque, available from 1,500rpm to 2,500rpm. It comes with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels.
On the other hand, the T9 BEV 4×4 runs on an 88 kWh LFP battery from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL). It offers a range of about 340 kilometres on a full charge, according to WLTP standards. Its electric dual-motor setup generates a total of 220kW of power and 516Nm of torque, with a maximum speed of 140km/h. Charging is quick with DC fast charging at 88kW, letting the battery charge from 15% to 80% in just 45 minutes. AC charging can fully charge the vehicle from 15% to 100% in about 8 hours and 30 minutes.
