Intermark Mall has launched their 2023 Chinese New Year theme, ‘Senses of Prosperity’, offering shoppers to immerse themselves in the spirit of the festive season with elements to evoke the five senses – Sight, Sound, Taste, Touch and Smell. ‘Senses of Prosperity’ will last until 5 February 2022.
The theme will be greeted with stunning decorations depicting oriental grandeur, and admire the work of internationally-renowned fashion designer Carven Ong, as he displays his modern take on the traditional Chinese cheongsam on display at the Ground Atrium.
Not only that, the Ground Atrium also included various Senses Booths, from stunning Korean-inspired fashion and jewellery by S.Stella, as well as home decoration, gifts and aroma diffusers from Living Circles Concept, definitely there is something to enliven your senses. For those avid food lovers, head down to the Concourse Level and check out the Jaya Grocer Chinese New Year Fair, featuring delectable snacks, tea, and hampers perfect for the festive season.
Continuing bringing the Chinese New Year energy are energetic performances. The mall has confirmed dance and drum performances by talented students from Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur and Allegro Music and Art. Meanwhile, lion dances will take place with a special appearance of a Prosperity Rabbit Mascot – perfect for entertaining the whole family.
For those who are looking for some creative activities, Midori Studio is conducting two workshops during the Chinese New Year celebrations. The activities are Artisanal Handmade Perfume Workshop, which will leave you walking home with your own personalised fragrance and the Art of Paper Cutting Workshop will also teach you to create paper masterpieces perfect for displaying at home to usher in good luck for the New Year. Register for the Artisanal Handmade Perfume Workshop for 20 January and the Art of Paper Cutting Workshop for 13 January. Slots are available from 2pm to 5pm.
