Iman Troye is making her mark on the international market as she is featured as the Spotify’s EQUAL Artist of the Month digital billboard ad in New York Times Square.
Her real name, Siti Nur Iman Alyssa Sahabudin or more popularly known as Iman Troye becomes the representative of Malaysian singers in the EQUAL campaign by world-renowned digital music streaming platform, Spotify. EQUAL is a global programme by Spotify in nurturing equity for highlighting female artists around the world.

It is a big achievement for someone who is considered relatively new in the local music industry, what more being a Malaysian Muslim singer who dons the hijab. I hope I will be able to continue to fulfil the wishes of my supporters and followers. I would also like to thank my family, friends, and supporters for the undying love and support they have shown me throughout my musical career,” enthused Iman as she heard the news.
Iman Troye first stole the attention of Malaysian music lovers after her back-to-back covers of popular songs by contemporary Malaysian artistes that hit the social media by surprise.
She then sparked a local phenomenon through her single ‘Teman’ which to date has gained 45 million views on YouTube. Her festive Eid track called ‘Pejam Celik Hari Raya’ has also received a staggering 11million views on the same platform since its release, last Eid-ul Fitri.
Gifted with a unique voice and her lovely personality Iman continues to solidify her musical presence with the release of her latest single called Nang which has already garnered more than two million views since the release just a few weeks ago.
Iman also becomes the fourth Malaysian act to grace the Times Square billboard after Yuna, Layla Sania, and local girl-group DOLLA.
