HP Malaysia has recently launched the 2021 HP Mentorship Project to encourage Malaysians to create even more possibilities and take their creative talents to new heights. The campaign will also enabling creativity among the country’s increasingly thoughtful youth with HP’s thoughtfully designed laptops. The HP Mentorship Project is set to offer enthusiastic and passionate young Malaysians a chance to push boundaries and create an audio/visual art piece in tandem with industry professionals using HP’s powerful PCs to leverage today’s technology, for tomorrow’s possibilities.
“Today’s youth are more empowered than ever to create work and art that is meaningful to them – from songs that shed light on important social causes to digital arts that touch on pressing issues – these young creative minds can elevate their creations with guidance from the three industry experts we have partnered with,” says Alex Tan, Managing Director of HP Inc. Malaysia. “Nothing can beat real-life experience and being personally guided by these three mentors while being empowered by HP Malaysia’s latest generation of laptops, will provide these mentees with the head start they need to excel in their creative fields.”
The mentees will be led by internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter Zee Avi, best known for her folk and pop music career; while prolific composer and producer Daniel Veerapen will lead the music production mentorship, having worked on scoring movies, TV shows, and producing music for dozens of local and international artists; alongside award-winning creative director Edwin Raj of 33.3 Studio – best known for his audio and visual productions with popular artists around the region.
The HP Mentorship Project is open to creatives from all backgrounds and of any level of expertise. Potential mentees will be required to submit their applications and portfolio via the campaign site from 15 October to 15 November 2021. 11 mentees will be selected to participate in this mentorship opportunity under the watchful eye of Malaysian pop star Zee Avi, music producer Daniel Veerapen, and visionary creative director Edwin Raj of 33.3 Studio. As part of the program, each mentee will receive a stunning HP laptop equipped with thoughtful innovations. Mentees will be working with either the HP Spectre x360 14, a convertible device with a 20% taller screen, or the HP Envy 15, which features HP Smart Sense and Focus Mode, to power their creative journey and kickstart a career in their selected field.
