HP latest AI PC Lab aims to equip Malaysian Educators and Students with Future-Ready Skills

HP Malaysia has recently launched the “HP AI PC Lab”, an innovative roving lab designed to empower Malaysian educators and youths with essential AI and digital skills to thrive in a technology-driven world. Equipped with HP’s latest AI-powered PCs, the lab will visit over 25 locations, starting with High Performance Secondary Schools (Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi), and is expected to reach approximately 5,000 individuals, including educators, students, and members of the public.

HP hosted the first AI PC Masterclass at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), the event brought together over 300 educators from Selangor to explore the potential of AI and experience hands-on demonstrations with HP’s AI PCs. This initiative supports the Ministry of Education’s 2023 Digital Education Policy and aligns with the recent Teacher’s Day theme, Guru Jauhari Digital (Digital-Savvy Teachers), aiming to enhance educators’ knowledge and digital capabilities to integrate digital tools into teaching.

“As Malaysia embraces the growing potential of AI, we recognise the importance of preparing educators and students for this shift. HP is proud to provide hands-on experience with our latest AI-powered PCs to schools, offering educators and students direct access to innovative technologies, in hope to inspire and accelerate their personal and academic growth,” said Alex Tan, Managing Director of HP Malaysia. “The HP AI PC Lab reflects our commitment to bridging the technology gap, enabling students and educators to become more resilient for a future where AI literacy is crucial.”

Bridging the AI Skills Gap with HP AI PC Lab

The World Economic Forum reports that AI and machine learning specialists are among the top 10 jobs in increasing demand. Malaysia’s commitment to this future is evident, with the country ranking 2nd in ASEAN and 23rd globally in AI readiness, as reported by Cybersecurity Malaysia.

To accelerate Malaysia’s AI adoption progress, the HP AI PC lab will embark on a six-week journey, making stops at educational institutions (secondary schools, colleges and universities), shopping centers, and popular public spots in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Melaka, Johor and Penang. At each stop, visitors can experience hands-on interactions with HP’s latest AI-powered PC products, discovering how HP technology can enhance productivity, creativity and learning.
