Hong Leong Bank launches HLB x Spider-Man: Brand New Day cards; three unique designs and in limited quantities

Hong Leong Bank (HLB) has introduced special HLB x Spider-Man: Brand New Day cards. This campaign combines practical banking with a famous pop culture icon, aiming to be the first choice for customers.

The collection includes the HLB Sutera Platinum Credit Card x Spider-Man: Brand New Day and two unique Debit Card designs, making everyday spending tools into collectible items.

According to Andrew Jong, HLB’s Managing Director of Personal Financial Services, “We see our cards as a passport for experiences, allowing us to bring what our customers love directly into their everyday lives. Modern retail banking today goes beyond traditional utility and integrates into broader cultural spaces. With these global IP partnerships, we want our customers to feel a genuine sense of pride and personal connection whenever they pull out an HLB card.

HLB has launched a special promotion that runs until 31 December 2026.

The HLB Sutera Platinum Credit Card x Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be available for applications starting 18 August 2026, both online and at HLB branches across the country, but in limited quantities. Current cardholders can get the limited-edition design by paying a small fee.

New applicants for the credit card can apply without providing income documents if they deposit at least RM8,000 into their Fixed Deposit (“FD”) or eFD account. They will also receive a special HLB x Spider-Man: Brand New Day umbrella, subject to terms and conditions.

Additionally, starting 2 September 2026, two limited-edition HLB x Spider-Man: Brand New Day Debit Cards will be available at HLB branches, also in limited quantities.

On the side note, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day is exclusively in cinemas now.
