PROTON has officially launched the PROTON X50 Sport Edition (SE), offering bold styling upgrades and additional interior conveniences and based on the PROTON X50 Premium variant.
The PROTON X50 SE includes 13 unique upgrades, highlighted by a sporty Aerokit with front, rear, and side skirting. Its eye-catching Quartz Black color is complemented by glossy black trims at the front and rear, along with black 18-inch alloy wheels and unique body decals.
Inside, there are new features like a wireless charger for easy device use, sporty carpet mats for a stylish look, durable stainless steel scuff plates, and a boot tray for better cargo organization.
However, the PROTON X50 SE still retains the same 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with Multi Point Fuel Injection, capable of delivering 150 PS and 226 Nm of torque and paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). As for safety, it is boasting a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating.
The SE model now packs an updated 10.3-inch infotainment head unit powered by a dual quad-core processor, the “Hi PROTON” voice command system, and the PROTON Link app for remote engine start and cabin cooling. A High-Definition 360 Camera with 3D surround view supports safer parking, while a 6-speaker audio system enhances audio quality. The driver’s seat features a 6-way power-adjustable, and automatic air conditioning ensures a comfortable cabin environment. To complete the package, the PROTON X50 SE is equipped with security tint, for added privacy and UV protection.
The PROTON X50 Sport Edition offers RM10,000 in added value but is priced attractively at RM105,300, with only 1,000 units available. The company is also introducing a limited-time cash rebate and Angpao, offering a rebate of RM7,000 in January, and total savings for customers of RM13,500.
Along with the launch of the PROTON X50 Sport Edition, PROTON also launched the Test Drive and Win Festive Fortune campaign, offering a grand prize of a brand-new PROTON X50 Sport Edition. The campaign runs from January to March 2025 with customers invited to visit any PROTON dealership and test drive any model. They will then be in the running to win monthly cash prizes of up to RM5,000. Those who make a booking and register a new PROTON vehicle that month will automatically enter a monthly lucky draw and stand a chance to win a monthly grand prize of a travel package worth RM10,000 as well as a final grand prize for this 3 month campaign.
