The HBO Original film Mountainhead, written, directed, and executive produced by seven-time Emmy winner and Oscar-nominated by Emmy winner Jesse Armstrong (HBO’s Succession), premieres on 1 June 2025, on Max. It is wrapping up production this week in Park City, Utah, and is Armstrong’s first feature as a director.
A group of billionaire friends comes together during an international crisis. The cast features Steve Carell as Randall, Jason Schwartzman as Souper, Cory Michael Smith as Venis, and Ramy Youssef as Jeff. Supporting roles include Hadley Robinson as Hester, Andy Daly as Casper, Ali Kinkade as Berry, Daniel Oreskes as Dr. Phipps, David Thompson as Leo, Amie MacKenzie as Janine, and Ava Kostia as Paula.
