HBO Asia has finally launched the HBO GO in Malaysia right now. HBO GO offers everyone in the family direct and unlimited access to stream and download thousands of hours of premium entertainment on demand. The app includes content from live TV channels – HBO, HBO Signature, HBO Hits, HBO Family, Red by HBO and Cinemax – via the Live TV function in the app, and originals specially curated from HBO Max, the streaming platform which has recently launched in the United States.
HBO Asia stated that the streaming service is available for the first time as a no-contract standalone option and easy to sign up in just 3 simple steps. All you need to do is download HBO GO from the App Store or Play Store, create an account using your email and password, and subscribe directly at only RM34.90.
Astro Movies Pack customers can enjoy HBO GO at no additional charge, while other Astro customers can enjoy some savings and pay from just RM25 monthly. Make sure to link your account to your existing Astro subscription.
More original contents coming this June and well-balanced content for every ages
According to HBO Asia, there will be more original contents to come this June. Starting with Trackers, this action-packed conspiracy series based in South Africa with its first episode airing on June 6, HBO Asia Original. The Head, a survival thriller will be premiering on June 12, Perry Mason, a drama premiering on June 22 that follows American fiction’s most legendary criminal defence lawyer, and I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, a documentary-series which debuts on June 29.
The latest joining the HBO GO family of exclusive content are the HBO Max Originals, a specially-curated selection for Asian audiences which includes drama series, documentaries, movies and kids shows sourced from Lionsgate, Paramount, Warner Bros. and Sesame Workshop. Among the 15 titles confirmed premiering on HBO GO, romantic comedy Love Life and talkshow The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo are already available for Malaysian subscribers.
HBO GO also serves up K-dramas galore, the latest first-run Hollywood films, as well as Asian series and popular kids’ programmes, including Cartoon Network originals such as We Bare Bears, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Steven Universe.
For now, each HBO GO account can be viewed on two concurrent streams across five registered devices, with audio and subtitle options in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
