Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold in Malaysia: Here’s what you need to know

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will be the first foldable by Google made available for the Malaysia market. It now features a new gearless hinge, significant camera improvements, incredible performance and new helpful AI tools powered by our Tensor G5 processor. 

Pixel 10 Pro Fold is now crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum with two colours to choose from, Moonstone and Jade. With the new gearless hinge, claimed to be twice as durable as Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s, it gets an IP68 water and dust resistance rating — a first for a foldable device.

Google also made the Super Actua Flex Display to be more durable. The screen is built with ultra-thin glass and two layers of anti-impact film for added drop protection. These upgrades combined with the new hinge is said to allow Pixel 10 Pro Fold to withstand 10 years of folding. Both display gets an upgrade with the foldable display now spans at 8 inches, plus a bigger 6.4-inch outer display thanks to smaller bezels. Both display can go up to a maximum of 3000 nits peak brightness.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold now gets a larger 5015 mAh battery, capable of delivering up to 30+ hours. When you do need a quick charge, faster wired charging gets you to 50% battery in just 30 minutes. Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also the first foldable with Qi2 charging built-in. With Pixelsnap, magnetic technology built right into the phone, you can pop the Pixelsnap Charger with Stand onto your phone even when it’s unfolded, or prop your phone up with the Pixelsnap Ring Stand for hands-free streaming.

Same as the Pixel 10 Series phones, Pixel 10 Pro Fold is powered by the latest custom Tensor G5 chip. This powerful processor delivers exceptional performance, advanced camera intelligence and leading-edge AI to make your life easier. You’ll also get the same helpful AI features as the other Pixel 10 phones, including Gemini Live, Magic Cue and Daily Hub, plus powerful photography features including Add Me, Best Take and Camera Coach. 

For the camera department, Pixel 10 Pro Fold now gets a new 48MP main camera, 10.5MP Ultrawide camera and 10.8 MP telephoto camera. The rear camera system allows you get up close and personal with Macro Focus, zoom into faraway details with Super Res Zoom up to 20x and take amazing selfies with Rear Camera Selfie. Both the front cameras on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold are 10 MP selfie camera.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold introduces Instant View, allowing users to preview photos instantly when the phone is unfolded, enabling quick re-takes. This feature complements other foldable camera functions like Made You Look, Dual Screen Preview, and Tabletop Mode.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold features a large inner screen and a unique design for multitasking. With Split Screen, you can run two apps simultaneously and adjust their sizes. The Drag and Drop feature allows you to move media and files between apps easily.

Google is also partnering with Android developers to enhance app performance on foldables. The new game controller functionality on the outer display brings immersive gaming to titles like Asphalt Legends and Disney Speedstorm, and streaming on Netflix and Disney+ is optimized for on-the-go viewing.
