Google Cloud’s latest Gemini Enterprise will be available in Malaysia

Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise, a comprehensive platform that integrates with organizational workflows, enabling users to automate complex tasks with AI agents. Available globally, including in Malaysia, Gemini Enterprise offers an intuitive chat interface that serves as the main access point for AI in the workplace, unifying six core components.

  1. It is powered by Google’s versatile and most advanced family of Gemini models, creating the brains of the system, providing world-class intelligence for every task.
  1. To deliver value from day one, it includes a taskforce of pre-built Google agents for specialized jobs like deep research, idea generation, data insights, and more. It enables organizations to easily augment this taskforce with custom AI agents that are either built by their own teams or Google Cloud’s extensive partner ecosystem.
  1. Through a no-code workbench, any user—from marketing to finance, and any other team—can create and orchestrate AI agents to analyze information and automate processes across their organization.
  1. AI agents are only as helpful as the context they are grounded on, so Gemini Enterprise securely connects to a company’s data wherever it lives – from Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 to business applications like Salesforce and SAP.
  1. A central governance framework for an organization to visualize, secure, and audit all of their AI agents from one place.
  1. And this is all built on the principle of openness: native integrations with shared industry standards and frameworks like Google’s Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol that allows AI agents to communicate seamlessly with each other, Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) that enables AI agents to securely initiate and make transactions across platforms, and Agent Development Kit (ADK) for building, testing, and deploying modular agentic systems, as well as support from an ecosystem of more than 100,000 partners, thereby ensuring customer choice while fostering innovation.

By bringing all these components together through a simple user interface, Gemini Enterprise not only assists with tasks but also automates entire workflows for smarter business outcomes, backed by Google Cloud’s enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Sundar Pichai, Chief Executive Officer, Google and Alphabet, stated: “Gemini Enterprise transcends simple chatbots by providing an integrated platform that consolidates your company’s data, tools, and people securely. It allows you to interact with your documents and applications while also offering tools for building AI agents grounded in your company’s information.”

Thomas Kurian, Chief Executive Officer, Google Cloud, remarked: “The initial wave of AI has been limited to silos, failing to unify complex work within organizations. Many companies provide AI models, but lack a cohesive platform. True transformation needs an integrated solution that connects your context, workflows, and teams, which is precisely what Google Cloud delivers with Gemini Enterprise.”

Karan Bajwa, President, Asia Pacific, Google Cloud, said: “This isn’t just about making it easier to complete one task in any single application; Gemini Enterprise transcends that. It’s about making end-to-end workflows work better for you by mobilizing multi-step AI agents that can find and comprehend information from all your enterprise documents, applications, email and chat systems to automate processes across enterprise applications. We’ve delivered a truly unified AI fabric for organizations, and this is why companies like Abc (AirAsia brand co.), FairPrice Group, GovTech Singapore, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Macquarie Bank, and many more are already putting Gemini Enterprise to work.”

Tony Fernandes, CEO, Capital A, and acting CEO, Abc, said: “Our partnership with Google Cloud has always been about breaking barriers; we’re now reinventing ourselves as an AI-first company. Through AirAsia brand-owner Abc, which leads this strategic partnership, we are deploying Gemini Enterprise as a shared suite of platform tools for our brand licensee companies across Capital A. This means putting intelligent, ready-to-use enterprise AI agents—grounded in our unique expertise, knowledge base, and ecosystem data spanning diverse industries—into the hands of employees everywhere. These AI agents will empower our people to shift from tedious tasks to strategic impact, directly fuelling our promise of making travel and lifestyle services even more affordable and accessible in ASEAN and beyond.”

Richard Heeley, Head of Technology, Banking and Financial Services, Macquarie Group, said: “Retail banking is a highly competitive industry, and ultimately we need to scale fast and scale smartly. So how do we do this in a thoughtful and strategic way? We think the answer is to provide our employees with the most advanced AI tools to increase our pace of delivery and allow our teams to have more time to focus on high-value tasks, which will ultimately lead to better customer outcomes. We’re really proud that every single employee at Macquarie Bank has access to Gemini Enterprise to boost their personal productivity, to spark new ideas, and to make their work more meaningful, It’s vital that all our employees have the foundational capabilities to effectively leverage AI in their roles, and we’re making this possible by encouraging all our employees to become AI-literate by building custom learning paths, so our entire workforce is ready for this new world.”

Google Cloud announced that it will be the official cloud provider for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, using AI technology to improve the experience for fans, athletes, and businesses. Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace will be key tools for planning and logistics, helping to manage over 70,000 volunteers and workforce members.

Expanded taskforce of pre-built Google agents in Gemini Enterprise

Gemini Enterprise reinforces Google Cloud’s commitment to an open platform, seamlessly integrating with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint. While a powerful standalone platform, it offers deeper integration with Google Workspace, featuring multimodal AI agents in applications like Google Vids and Google Meet for text, image, video, and speech tasks.

AI agents rely on context, which Gemini Enterprise builds from an organization’s data to ensure accurate results. A new Data Science agent is introduced to automate data wrangling and streamline AI model development through multi-step plans for AI training, fine-tuning, and inference.

Other pre-built Google agents available in Gemini Enterprise for employee use include:

  • Deep Research agent, which explores complex topics on the employee’s behalf, synthesizing information across internal and external sources into comprehensive, easy-to-read reports – all with a single prompt.
  • Idea Generation agent, which helps employees innovate by autonomously developing novel ideas in any domain and evaluating them to find the best solutions via a competitive system inspired by scientific methods.
  • NotebookLM Enterprise, which helps employees distill complex information from multiple sources, such as Google Docs, Google Slides, PDFs, text and markdown files, web URLs, copy and pasted text, YouTube URLs of public videos, and audio files, into clear, digestible content.

Integration between Customer Engagement Suite and Gemini Enterprise

Customer engagement remains a pivotal area for AI adoption. Companies like DBS Bank and Mercari are leveraging Google Cloud’s Customer Engagement Suite to enhance customer service with conversational AI.

Google Cloud has also introduced new next-generation conversational AI agents that integrate with Gemini Enterprise, delivering added value to businesses in various ways:

  • With Customer Engagement Suite’s new, easy-to-use low-code visual builder, a conversational AI agent can be built once and configured for all channels—telephony, web, mobile, email, and chat—with support for more than 40 languages.
  • Being powered by the latest Gemini models means these next-generation AI agents have natural-sounding voices, with the ability to handle accent transitions and real-world noise from a bad phone connection with industry-leading accuracy and latency.
  • These AI agents are designed to connect directly into Gemini Enterprise, unlocking two key advantages: they use real-time context from the organization’s business systems to deliver deeper personalization to its customers; unified governance allows the organization to manage both its internal and customer-facing AI agents from the same central platform.

Gemini Enterprise partner ecosystem and workforce development programs

Google Cloud believes that AI should be open. It has created a network of over 100,000 partners to support customers in adopting agentic AI. Currently, Google Cloud is enhancing this network in four important ways:

  1. Expanded cross-platform workflows out of the box with technology partners like Box, OpenText, SAP, ServiceNow, and Workday.
  1. Leading global and local technical consultancy and implementation partners can assist with planning, deployment, and custom agent development to speed up organizations’ adoption of Gemini Enterprise. These include Accenture, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Cloud Ace, Cloud Mile, Cloud Space, CMC Telecom, Data Labs Analytics, Deloitte, Devoteam, Kollab, McKinsey & Company, MFEC, NTT Data, Searce, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and more.
  1. A trusted AI agent finder for organizations to discover the right third-party AI agent for their needs, with the assurance that the thousands of AI agents they can now find, filter, and deploy have been validated for security and interoperability.
  1. New pathways for partners to market and monetize the AI agents that they have built, instantly connecting them with millions of Google Cloud customers.

Finally, delivering true transformation requires a commitment to upskilling the enterprise workforce. Today, Google Cloud is introducing a comprehensive set of programs to help organizations succeed:

  1. Google Skills, available for free, is a new training platform that brings together 3,000 courses and hands-on labs in one place, including content from across Google Cloud, Google DeepMind, Grow with Google, and Google for Education.
  1. The Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) program, a new educational sprint that aims to train one million developers to start building enterprise-ready AI agents with Gemini Enterprise.
  1. Gemini Agent Foundry offers a global, community-driven hackathon and marketplace for enterprise-grade AI agents.
  1. Delta, a new Google Cloud team for organizations that want Google Cloud AI engineers embedded side-by-side with their teams to tackle their most complex challenges.

“These programs are all designed to do one thing: help you and your teams build your future with AI. As AI transforms organizations around the world, Google Cloud is the only partner with the full set of offerings that you can tailor to your organization’s needs. And most importantly, we’re delivering real business value to help you drive ROI from your AI investments,” concluded Kurian.
