Goh V Shem becomes Vanilla Mille Crepe ambassador with new nutritious cakes coming soon

Malaysia’s Olympic Silver Medalist, Goh V Shem, has been recently appointed by Vanilla Mille Crepe as their brand ambassador. The company has confirmed the partnership is aimed to promote a healthier lifestyle through its new line of nutritious cakes titled the ‘Plant-Based Booster Series.’

The event was officiated by Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad, Secretary-General of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) and En. Suhardi Alias, Deputy Director-General of National Sports Council (MSN).

In conjunction with the announcement of the new brand ambassador, Vanilla Mille Crepe launched the all-new ‘Original Vanilla (with Panna Cotta) crepe cake’ as its first edition to the new cake series. At the press conference, Vanilla Mille Crepe CEO and Co-Founder Nelson Liew welcomed new license holders – Goh V Shem and Ernest Yap.

National badminton athlete – Goh V Shem is a fitting personality to be the new face of Vanilla Mille Crepe as it benefits their mission for 2022 to branch out into Southeast Asia and promote a health-forward movement in the F&B industry. Expected to launch in early December 2021, Goh V Shem and Ernest Yap will be joint license holders for the 32nd Vanilla Mille Crepe branch at Cheras Leisure Mall. Additionally, Ernest Yap will also be opening the 33rd outlet at Centrepoint Bandar Utama that is expected to welcome customers by the end of December 2021.

Nelson Liew, CEO and Co-Founder Vanilla Mille Crepe, said, “We have chosen Goh V Shem to be the face of our brand because of his reputation for advocating a healthy lifestyle on both social media and on the court. Being well-known throughout Southeast Asia for his outstanding performance in Badminton, Goh V Shem is a suitable personality for our expansion to neighboring countries in 2022. With that, I welcome Ernest Yap and Goh V Shem into the Vanilla Mille Crepe family.”

Vanilla Mille Crepe today launched the all-new ‘Original Vanilla (with Panna Cotta) crepe cake,’ the first of many to come in the ‘Plant-Based Booster Series.’ The dessert experts at Vanilla Mille Crepe have worked hard to produce a less caloric-dense crepe cake made with no added sugar and quality plant-based ingredients imported from France that allow for a healthier dessert alternative without compromising taste, authenticity, or quality. As a matter of fact, these cakes contain half the calories than that of a regular cheesecake with a significantly lower amount of fats and sugars, making them a suitable choice for health-conscious consumers.

Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad, Secretary-General of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), said, “Cakes are enjoyed on just about any occasion, and here in Malaysia, we have the privilege of celebrating so many. With the new series of cakes by Vanilla Mille Crepe, consumers will now have access to a much healthier and nutritious alternative that is equally delicious.”

“Though it has been a challenging 2021 thus far, it is pleasing to see companies such as Vanilla Mille Crepe take it upon themselves to branch out and broaden their businesses, in turn heightening the national GDP and providing job opportunities during these trying times,” he concluded.
