Georgetown Pharmacy and Wellings Pharmacy, part of BIG CARING Group, are excited to sponsor the Penang State Sports Council (MSNPP) to support Penang’s athletes in the upcoming Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) 2026.
As community pharmacies based in Penang, they are donating over RM25,000 in medical supplies, recovery aids, nutritional support, and special goodie bags to help the athletes perform their best during SUKMA 2026.
“SUKMA represents the pinnacle of youth sporting achievement in Malaysia, and it is a privilege for us to stand behind Penang’s athletes as they compete on one of the country’s biggest sporting stages. Every athlete deserves the right support throughout their journey, not only in training but also in staying well, preventing injuries and recovering effectively. We hope our contribution helps them compete with confidence and make Penang proud at SUKMA 2026,” said Mr Tan Zhen Yao, Director of Georgetown & Wellings Pharmacy.
Among the contributions to support Penang’s athletes for SUKMA 2026 are healthcare essentials and recovery aids to keep them competition-ready and help with recovery. Athletes will receive first aid supplies, muscle recovery gels, athletic taping, antiseptic treatments, emergency relief aids, and nutritional drinks to maintain energy levels.
Each athlete will also get a curated Penang souvenir as a keepsake and cultural token for exchange. These contributions were made possible with support from Difflam AB, Apex Pharmacy Marketing Sdn Bhd, and GT Healthcare Sdn Bhd.
