Qualcomm has announced that the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy will be exclusively powering Samsung’s Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra worldwide. With its powerful second-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU, advanced Qualcomm Adreno GPU, and innovative Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy offers exceptional performance, enhancing the user experience with Galaxy AI devices.
Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is a powerhouse platform, delivering top-of-the-line on-device AI capabilities to the entire Galaxy S25 series, as well as premium 5G and Wi-Fi features thanks to the Snapdragon X80 5G Modem-RF System and the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Mobile Connectivity System for ultra-fast cellular and Wi-Fi 7 speeds. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 series are the first commercial devices to feature Snapdragon Satellite which allows consumers to send and receive messages via satellite (narrowband NTN) natively supported in Android OS.Â
Qualcomm Technologies and Samsung teamed up to customize the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, aiming for top-notch image quality and efficient power use on Galaxy smartphone displays. They worked together to add Spatio-Temporal Filter (STF) support to the Qualcomm Spectra ISP, which improves low light video capture, even at 8K 30fps, while keeping power usage low.
Moreover, Qualcomm and Samsung joined forces again to optimize the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy for the new Gemini features. Whether managing tasks between apps, livestreaming from the Gemini app, or using Gemini as a writing assistant, these features will work smoothly and efficiently on Snapdragon.
